V8 LPG Questions by Idris
Have a Defender 110 with a V8 that has twin SU carbs with a Landi Renzo LPG conversion that was on it when I bought it. The LPG is fed in to a device between the carb and the manifold. This presents a restriction to the air flow and whilst I can see that it might be necessary to get a venturi effect to make the system work, I am keen to do away with any restrictions to the air flow and...

I have recently purchased a Astra 1.6 estate auto that has an AG gas conversion, the engine runs OK. The problem is that I can only get 23 MPG on gas, I use the car for a mix of long and short jouneys. The Astra has just passed an MOT. Has anyone have any experience with AG systems that could help me find out what is wrong. I was hoping to get at least 30 MPG.

Hi all, I have a Isuzu Trooper 96 Citation V6 running on LPG. It has developed a problem where it will run on gas from a cold start but after say 10 mins of driving it chuggs and spluuters. I then switch it back to petrol and all is fine but i cannot run gas untill next cold start. From looking at the symtoms i think its something to do with heat but i am not familiar with lpg on cars so i...

Tanks and fuel gauges by DayDragon
Hi, In my car i have a torroidal tank. I know that fuel in a tank will slosh about when moving but when my tank is half full to near empty it'll show anything like all green lights, 2 green or RED. Are the cylindrical tanks any better or are there any better tanks out there?

Anybody by any chance know the lambda / ECU wiring on a Chevrolet Astro V6 Van ?? by chev
Anybody ??? I need this urgently for tomorrow because I have the gas conversion man coming up to change it to a closed loop system. Will not bore you all with the details, but I had this converted last week & although it has a cat, I have only got an open loop system (which I have been advised is bad news for the CAT) Many thanks & sorry to make my first post a request, we tend to find

Honda Accord ALDESA multi-point by chuckie888
I've just had a 2001 Honda Accord 1.8 VTEC S converted to a ALDESA multi-point system with flashlube but am experiencing problems; I am getting an erratic idle, it's ok and fast upon initial start but then stutters to 200-300rpm when just warmed up and then is ok again then fast after a a hard run (hot). I believe these are the symptoms of an air leak but the installer insists there isn't one. ...

fuel registration by david.cawkwell@tesco.net
You write off the DVLA telling them the car has been modified to run on both and they will make it dual fuel. I had a Hyundai sonata and it has dual fuel on the log book. I wonder if the DVLA want to see any proof. Or what is stopping anybody registering their car as dual fuel and therefore avoiding the congestion charge in London.

Mercedes C200 with high petrol emissions by Peter Cooper
Thanks for the helpful replies so far :) No warning lights, etc. The car is a Merecedes C200 (petrol) from 1995. The LPG conversion is a rather old type (over 6 years old) that uses a French style connector rather than the bayonet (great fun with the adaptor :)).. if any of that gives anyone any ideas :) Will see if I can take it round to my local MOT place just to get the emissions tests done...

Does running on LPG affect petrol emissions? by Peter Cooper
I've been running on LPG for about six years now. I've run on petrol from time to time just to make sure it still runs, but not for long. Last year I accidentally left the switch on petrol for the MOT and.. it failed spectacularly on emissions. These were no slightly high emissions.. they were miles off the scale. Back on LPG, however, it passed with flying colours. So.. could running on LPG...
