been calling local converters in aberdeen prices range at around £1700 just wonderin if there is anyway to reduce the cost? Was considering purchasing an lpg car on ebay, get the garadge to remove the kit from the ebay car and install in my focus. They can then keep the car. Is this a good idea?

Hello Everyone, I have an LPG system on a 2000 cc l400 Mitzubishi Space Gear (1997). It runs well on LPG but not so well with gasoline. I've noticed that it will run better if I momentarily remove the air filter, or bypass the altitude compensator, which to my understanding results in bleeding a little more air into the carburetor. I've just got myself a classic Saab 900 Turbo - 16V, 1992 non-cat model with the full pressure turbo. It is in very good condition so I want to keep it but it's also draining my bank such is it's thirst when driving "enthusiastically" ;-) The solution seems to be convert to LPG. I have a problem with cold start with my Pierburg 1B2 carburetor (on a '87 1.6 litre BMW). I also have two sets of two horizontal (side-draft) carburetors, Dellorto DHLA 40 and Solex PHH 40 (that many years ago was used in engine like my M10 1.6). Pierburg has fully automatic choke. I was told that I need to replace waxstat and another electrically heated device (~170 EUR). That *may* help....

Mondeo 2.0 fitted with Landi conversion. When it changes over to gas, I have noticed a very slight smell of gas if working under the bonnet. This cannot normally be smelt, it is only very very slight, I thought I was imagining it but occasionally I can smell it if I have the bonnet open and its on gas, no smell when on petrol.
