Spare Wheel by Briane Moore
That leaves me with a Ford Galaxy that has no spare wheel. I don't really want to have the originall full-size spare rattling around in the car (there isn't a seperate boot), but I could probably stow a space-saver quite easily. Does anyone know of a supplier of space-saver wheels? Chris Found two in a scrappy a few weeks ago, both looked like they had never

Spare Wheel by Chris
I seem to recall a tyre fitter once giving me a right lecture about the problems this sealer causes, (making repairs a right pain apparently) when I used the stuff on a moped I once had some 15 years ago. Is this still the case or has the stuff improved? Chris "Steve Firth" wrote in message ... Chris...

Spare Wheel by Java Jive
I was a little concerned about the absence of a spare when considering buying my Volvo bi-fuel, until I thought back over more than twenty years of driving and realised that I'd used a spare just once (when at full speed on a deserted country my front wheel hit a rock that had rolled out into the road from a bank). I stopped worrying about the lack of spare. Of course if you run off-road a lot...

Experience with Toyota 1.3 16v 4E-FE on LPG ? by Zé Silva
Sharing my experience I had 1.3 xli 1996 with same engine converted at 21.000KMs to LPG. After 90.000 KM got a broken valve and all the valve seats were BAD.! Spent a Lot $$$ to repair and after 3.000Km this engine began consuming oil, like 1lt/1.000Km. Then I exchanged the engine with one from a crashed car (11KKM), but since was I was afraid of more problems sold the vehicle...

MTM Multivalve / Stako tanks, reliability. by SimonJ
I have had an LPG system installed for about 6 months now, using stako tanks fitted with MTM multivalve units. In this time the fuel level float has dropped off on one tank, then the fuel level gauge in the other tank decided to stick in the full position (which meant it wouldnt take any gas, due to the 80% cut off being permanently shut) and now the other tank (the one which the float...

Problems with older style LPG fillers. by Oliver Keating
I am having a problem. Those newish BP installations are fine, you know the "gun" connector (see: http://www.tecint.co.uk/images/photos/pump14.jpg ) are fine, and I use 95% of the time, given how most LPG stations are BP. However, when using the older style connectors (see: http://www.webvert.co.uk/stephenseng/policelpg.jpg ) I am having a problem. I can never seem to get a sealed connection. I...

Newbie question by Chris
Hi I have a 98 Ford Galaxy 2.3 with plastic (or similar) inlet manifold and multi-point petrol injection. It does 22mpg on that awful petrol stuff and I desperately want to fix it (i.e. get it running on gas). As with most people this is for cash reasons (oh and the environment and all that sort of stuff) and hence I want to fit a system that is sufficient without going overboard.

LPG only? by Robin Dumpleton
Even on this group there is some uncertainty as to the ability to get fuel before running out. Yet anyone who has a gas car will quite happily say that they have not put any petrol in for months. Even with over 1200 stations to choose from. The mind set not to get into is to use a gas car as a dual fuel, as running out of gas is the worst thing that you can do to a gas system as it deposits the...

Using the cold. by Austin Shackles
so I've got this vapouriser, which has to be heated to stop it freezing, and it's in a parallel water circuit with the car's heater, connected to the source of heat, viz. the engine. If I put a valve in to interrupt one of the pipes from the engine, I should be able to get the cold to go into the heater element in the heater, there to exchange it with warmth from the atmosphere, making the air...

LPG kit Set-up Problems by Tom Murkin
Hi, I've just purchased a VW Camper van and it is fitted with LPG. Trouble is it doesn't work, and despite experience with other LPG kits I can't seem to get this one working! It appears to be BRC equipment (at least the switch/control and vaporise both are). The Switch unit says BRC Bristol 41! Unfortunately the previous owner has given me no information! The vehicle it is fitted to is a...

LPG leak. by richt
Please excuse the long and winding post I will get to the point. I have a Mercedes V-Class 280 with a BRC LPG conversion. I am sorry but I do not know how the system is setup. I am currently in distpute with the dealer I bought the car off. He is saying there is a LPG leak on the vehicle and I do not believe them. I took the car back to them to sort out a few minor problems and...
