Tartarini system by
Paul Morgan
Hi,
Have just bought a car with a tartarini system already fitted. How do I tell
if it's open or closed loop, and are there any instructions I need for using
it (as I didn't get any with the car). I can find the control unit and mixer
in the engine compartment, and there is a switch in the centre console to
swap fuels and also LEDs to indicate fuel mode and LPG level.
Cheers.

DO NOT USE BUDGET INSURANCE by
Steve Knight
I don't know who Neil Jones is, but to whom it may concern
I had the same problem with admiral a few years ago
When I had to claim with Admiral a couple of years ago it was the best and
most efficient service I have ever had from an insurance company.

LPG Adaptor for Ireland by
Steve Thomas
Just come back from a weekend in Ireland where I soon realised that the LPG
pumps had a different fitting to the UK, but not like the "flat plate"
design I understand is used in France. The guy in the garage knew about the
problem but didn't have an adaptor.
Luckily petrol is cheaper over there so I wasn't too bothered for a weekend,
but I do travel to Ireland regularly so I need to sort it...

Scorpio LPG? by
Austin Shackles
On or around Thu, 28 Aug 2003 15:30:38 +0000 (UTC), "Waynee"
enlightened us thusly:
Does anyone know of any pitfalls of converting a Scorpio 2.9 to LPG? I've
heard probs with CAT and valve seats. Surely the valve seat prob is the same
as unleaded fuel. If you have a CAT does the car have to have a lambda
sensor? What is lambda sensor?
shouldn't be a valve seat problem on...

How far to advance ignition? by
Dave Wheatley
Is there a 'standard' amount to advance the ignition for lpg? I use
petrol usually only to start up then switch to gas.
Thanks
Dave

Tartarini Etagas Problem by
Gareth Roberts
Has anybody heard of a misfire problem with a Discovery S2 V8 with the
ETAGAS system? I have heard that the vapouriser has been modified. Can
anyone tell me how to identify an older vaporiser?

Where is your LPG system powered from? by
Graeme
Hi
Following my recent post on my Range Rover V8 system switching from LPG to
petrol and back by itself - this has now been cured as a result of a
different problem surfacing.
The ignition amplifier unit attached to the dizzy had been on the way out
and finally died - I renewed that plus the coil and - hay presto! The LPG
control unit was back to normal - it transpires that the LPG system...

can any motor be convertrd to lpg by
ez_livin
at present we own a jeep converted to lpg and are very happy with it, now I
am thinking of buying a semi classic car with a big engine (Mercedes sec) I
know that these cars can have valve problems after 70,000 miles, would a
conversion add to any possible problems?

Anyone selling an LPG car (preferably s.scotland/n.england) by
Paul Morgan
Looking for a cheap one to use every day (I have another car which is too
much of a guzzler for commuting). Not an off-road thing or anything like
that, something that will still get over 25MPG on gas to minimise my fuel
bills.
Cheers.

Don't look like it does it? GAS mixer or injection is not a good idea
in same way that petrol vapour carbs are not a good idea except for
good idling. Until the LPG retrofit industry moves away from the

Reliable LPG Meter by
SteveG
Hi all, I've only just found this NG so please excuse me if this has
been done to death in the past.
My LED based LPG fuel indicator is about as much use as a chocolate
fire guard. The first green light goes out after just 6 miles or so
and the red one comes on at about 100 miles - even though there is
another 100 miles worth of gas left in the tank.
My question is; has anyone come up with a...

Leonardo Tuning / Lambda Problem? by
Frogwell
The set up: 1987 Range Rover 3.5 efi with AEB Leonardo controller and
OMVL vapouriser.
The situation: the controller has been reporting an error since I
fitted the kit a week ago. Took me a while to realise it was an error
as I did not know that the slow blinking of the lpg light meant there
was an error. So I connected up the laptop and it seemed to be saying
that the lambda sensor was...
