My rangi V8 3.9 is fitted with twin underbody tanks for the extra range I am considering a 100ltr boot tank as well, is this feasible? if so what sort of costs am I looking at I am assuming it will need some kind of compensation valve between all three tanks. nay help appreciated cheers John

Well, I think my lpg system is going to pot. Flat spots all over the torque curve, engine stalls (frequently), noticeably smoother and stronger on petrol. This has been slowly coming on, and the conversion is over 40,000 miles old now. Problem is, I have a Tartarini kit, and almost noone seems to have the software for it! GRR. So who in the south east/oxfordshire/west sussex can sort me out?

Hi there, Thanks to all the contributors of this group. I've enjoyed reading up over the months & learning LPG stuff. I'm in Australia, & drive a '98 4-litre straight 6 dual fuel "EL" Ford Falcon wagon (estate). Ford sell a dedicated lpg Falcon as well as dual fuel www.ford.com.au although those weren't available in '98, so mine is an aftermarket conversion.

Has anyone fitted an ignition advance unit to a Classic Range, with a Lucas 35DLM8 dizzy? I have an advance unit but cannot get it to work. Any info would be appreciated.

I've noticed the Range Rover (4.6) is idling a bit lumpy on gas since the weather went cold. The revs wander up and down between about 600 and 900 rpm. It doesn't seem to do this on petrol. It's also fine when it's not idling. Is this some vapourisation thing? It's an AG Autogas Systems conversion with 8 separate injectors. David. --

Hi all, My tank is installed in the spare wheel well of my Range Rover. Nice and unobtrusive (apart from the huge spare wheel which now takes up most of the boot :) Opened it up over the weekend for the first time in several weeks and was quite suprised to find it all dripping in water. As with most LPG systems mine starts on petrol then switches to gas. It's configured to do this on deceleration, i.e. once you start it will stay on petrol until the accelerator is pressed then released. The problem is that the changeover doesn't seem to be configured quite right - if you just blip the gas lightly there's a very short time that the engine appears to get no fuel and it will...

wrangler 4ltr with a stargas kit...........just had the control unit replaced , would not switch to lpg.........and ran on petrol for a few days then it started to stutter runs fine on lpg now.............just runs rough on petrol put the foot down.....and you get a stutter .revs dont climb progressavly ...some dips could this be the emulator unit or wiring?

I posted a few weeks ago about not being able to start from cold on my citroen AX. To try and fix a problem on acceleration when running on petrol I cleaned the carb out. The citroen now starts on LPG fine?? The only thing apart from clean the carb was put a little gasket paste between the carb and manifold. But there was already plenty there when I removed it.

Any chance that someone out there can help me out with the wiring of a Stargas DL-401 lambda gas ecologic system V.2.O., also help with the dip switch settings. TIA.
