Starting on LPG? by
Yeti
Hi all,
I am new to LPG and have just purchased a Ford Transit motor home that is
dual fuel (Petrol and LPG). I find that whenn set to LPG it takes several
attempts to start the vehicle, and if I start it on petrol and swap it over
soon after, the LPG is very lumpy and has no pull for a few minutes. Can
anybody help me out with a diagnosis or a method to solve the problem?
Thanks a lot.

Help me spend a grand and a half! by
Craig Stephenson
I have a dilemma and need help! I wish to convert my Volvo S80 2.4 non turbo
auto 1999 50k to gas, toriedal tank 70l. All 3 systems I have been offered
do the same thing via sgi technology and make my car run on gas, they just
cost more or less depending on the system! Why should I pay for the best
system?
£1400 for a Landi (Rozario?) system.
£1500 for an OMVL Dream xx1N

mercedes e240 1998 by
bern
hello
anyone got any ideas on a 'random multple misfire' detected and logged
after running on sequential gas injection.
the car runs great, no misfire threshold problems under load, no knock
sensor activity that is strange, the car does not learn its throttle
valve angle.
car runs for a bit but after one or two cold starts, the car then wont
start on either, until reset.

Would you do it? by
Alick
I do 25000 miles a year to and from work. I'm just about to get my wifes'
2001, 27K miles Ford Ka converted to lpg to use just for commuting. I'm in
Scotland, so the Assembly will give me a grant of £800 towards conversion
(autogas+ scheme for cars up to 6 years old) but I have to use an approved
installer. I've been quoted £1400 plus VAT (that's with a boot installed
tank - a spare wheel job...

I want my Discovery Converted by
mrjolly
I am looking to get my V8 Landrover converted to LPG.
I am in the Midlands, and the cheapest quote I've had so far is 1500+VAT.
Is there anybody out there (local-ish - dont mind travelling to get it done)
that does it cheaper?
Regards, darren

petrol additive by
Rob & Shel
The advice I was given from the lpg installers was to drive on petrol for
10mins every week, but I hardly ever use the car, except for occasional
long drives.
I'm wondering if I should be putting anything in the petrol as it sits in
the tank for ages. There was a full tank left in there by my sister over
Xmas, & it's only just gotten used up enough for a splash for the occasional
maintenance...

V8 fault, evidence! by
Austin Shackles
still on the trail of the elusive fault...
fitting new leads and posh red coil made it run significantly better.
However, the basic fault is still around...
looking today I narrowed the rough idle down to an erratic #1 cylinder by
the brilliant tactic of unplugging plug leads one at a time. I'd not
bothered with this before as the fault doesn't present as a regular misfire,
sometimes all 8 are...

Rover v8 Timing by
Andy Warner
I'm currently running a carbed Rover V8 (9.35:1CR) on gas only. I'd like to
know what the best static ignition timing would be for it, as its never gets
run on petrol anymore. Also should the plug gap be kept the same as petrol?
Thanks for the help

VW camper conversion - where can the tank go? by
David W.E. Roberts
Hi,
considering converting an 'F' reg. VW camper - old style rear wheel drive
water cooled.
I have seen VW conversions with the tank on the rear, but I need to use the
rear door, and also carry bikes.
The spare is under the front in a carrier, so this is one possible location.

Air cooled camper by
Andrew Wheeldon
That's right, a VW. T25 shape (the big square one). 2L flat 4 air cooled
twin carb. Any ideas for the conversion. Exhaust probe is one way, ancillary
water system heated from the exhaust is another, any views on this anyone?
Also while we are on the subject any one know how I could possibly run my
cooker/fridge from my road gas, seems silly to be paying 38p per litre for
road fuel then carrying...
