I was wondering after I poured yet more expensive petrol into my lawn mower today how easy it would be to get it running on a small canister of propane or butane. (It's a ride on mower) I remember reading somewhere that because the engine is of a smaller size you don't need a vapourise as there isn't a problem with the cooling effect of vapourisation. I have one garage I visit and when fill up at the tank approches full the fill speed does not drop but I get a clicking noise from under the car. Could this be the relief valve. How can I check. I cant smell gas when it does it. The car is not using any extra gas. The last time it sounded like gas escaping, then it continued clicking. Also is the gas stored as a liquid in the tanks.
