Spark Plug Gap on Disco II 4L? by Michael
I have a Disco II 4L with multipoint gas injection and I would like opinions on the best gap for the spark plugs. Some say close the gap from standard and some say open up the gap. Which is better in terms of improving mpg? Thanks Michael

Spare wheel by Mark
In ten years working in a garage, I never saw an MoT inspector check a spare wheel, but when the Jaguar XJ220 was launched, I remember that they had to supply an aerosol of tyre weld or similar substance, because UK regs stated that all private / light goods vehicles had to carry some means of repair in case of a puncture. Has anyone had any problems not carrying a spare wheel or experience...

Merc 190E Mixer Location by G
Where and what mixer to put in?! From what i can tell it would have to go under the airflow meter on the injection system but there is little room, a further point is that there is no where i can install a blow back valve, so if it was to blow back it would destroy the air flow meter. The compromise would be to wedge open the airflow meter, disable the fuel pump and run perm. on gas, which...

More about LPG prices ... by no@spam.invalid
Talk about pricefixing if you live in a 40 pence/l area. This is from the BBC site quote A litre of petrol sold at more than 80p will earn a service station no more than 23p, while a litre of LPG priced at about 36p will bring in 18p profits to the vendor /quote

Multipoint conversion?? post a bit long. by George Gosbee
Hello all, Just some thoughts on a change from single point to multipoint. That is adding LPG vapour at near the same point as the petrol injectors but not with full electronic sequential control just multiple vapour entry points. The reason for this proposed change is to increase efficiency and reduce backfire's. On this non turbo engine there is one inlet for each of the six cylinders these...
