Cold engine problem by
Peter
Hi all,
I have 1998 Isuzu Trooper 3.5L V6 which has been converted to run on LPG.
All was fine until a couple of months ago it began exhibiting strange
problem when running on petrol (LPG was/is fine) - when engine is cold it
would stutter/hesitate at around 1800RPMs under load. On a couple of
occasions it even stalled, and once I got severe misfire when trying to
floor it thru 2K mark....

refilling from gas bottle by
Smokeyone
Is anyone doing this safely. No complications, no pump, just a
straight forward adapter. I assume turn the propane bottle upside down
and connect to the vehicle and enough gas would transfer to get you to
a garage. This would solve several problems for me at a push. If
anyone is doing this where did they get the adapter bits please.

high speed misfire by
Smokeyone
Hello
Have just purchased a 93 range rover with lpg. Runs fine on petrol but
at 70mph
tends to misfire. All the leads/connections are okay. Has Bosch plugs,
should I start by changing to NGK and probably a new set of leads.
Thanks

Swapping kit from one car to another (same model, different engine) by
Paul Morgan
Hi all,
I have a 1993 Audi 80 2.0 which has served me well over the last 20,000
miles or so. Only issue I have is that it's a bit underpowered, really
needs a bit more oomph to pull the car's weight. Also the gearing is too
low for my liking as well (probably to compensate for the lack of power)
meaning it sits around 3400 RPM at 70. The car has a Tartarini Tec97
closed-loop LPG system with...

LPG in Spain? by
FNF
Will anyone tell me if and where I can fill up with LPG while driving
through Spain?
Or in Gibraltar? Or North Africa?
I'm talking about LPG in bulk from filling stations, not propane or butane
gas in bottles.
I've not found any difficulty in topping up with LPG in France, but once
over the border into Spain there doesn't seem to be the same availability.
Am I missing something? Is LPG called...

How Do I Transfer LPG From One Bulk Tank To Another? by
ndavey@hemscott.net
Hi all.
Hope this post is OK. It's not directly related to LPG use in cars,
but there seem to be many knowledgeable people here who could advise
me on an idea I have.
At the moment I have one bulk LPG tank, and would like to install a
second in a different location. However, the site for the second tank
isn't accessible to road vehicles (or, indeed, any large vehicles) so
can't be filled...

anti-BLEVE system patented! by
athol
I was reading a magazine the other day, and found an interesting
article about an anti-BLEVE system for LPG tanks...
It seems that the inventor has used the flow of vapour out of the
pressure relief valve to power a pump that sprays liquid upwards
inside the tank to help cool the top section of the tank shell to
prevent the upper portion of the tank from weakening from heat
and failing.
It has...

People that are clever with websites... by
Stewart Hargrave
I was reading the other day that the LPGA is persuading more and more
insurance companies not to insure cars that have been converted by
people other than LPGA members. This seems to be legislation by the
back door, and has all sorts of nasty implications about price fixing,
cartels, monopolies, etc... (what's next - no insurance if brake pads
are changed other than by approved fitters?)
I'd be...

UK website listing LPG prices, addresses and directions by
Hurrah
Hi LPG users.
Thought I suggest the following website, as it needs more info from LPG
users:
www.glaive.co.uk/lpg.htm
It currently lists 144 filling stations that serve LPG and it also lists the
prices and opening days & times (although this is a new addition, so is not

Al Clarke
Hi group I am trying to get a new K and N air filter for my 4.0L Discovery
2, X reg Yr 2000 in the past some one has removed the existing air box and
left the piece of pipe that went on to it, The air filter is way past its

one, the outside diameter of the pipe is 80mm and I have seen pictures of

LPG dash switch by
Smokeyone
Can anyone suggest where I might buy a new lpg changeover switch. Mine
seems to have R & B written on it, just a simple on/off switch with a
couple of led's and a multi wire connector.
Thanks
