Sunroof Electrics by Stewart Hargrave
Sometime in the not too distant future I intend to replace the headlining in my '87 740. I'm wondering if, at the same time, it is practical to upgrade the manual sunroof to electric. I'd have to hunt around the breakers for an electric motor, etc, but I'm wondering if the wiring is already in place behind the headlining. Also, will the electric motor easily link to the actuating mechanism of a...

compressed natural gas by Stuart
Does anybody have experience of CNG (compressed natural gas) in the UK? Volvo produce bi fuel cars, in both LPG or CNG variants for the UK. The fuel consumption looks very similar to petrol for CNG cf LPG, but CNG filling stations are much rarer.

Ignition Advance Processor by KTM495
Anybody have any experiance of the Autogas Italia unit part number 501799013 triggered by points so i guess it must be using the points as a signal for switching a transistor of some sort. I have got the Jaycar kit from Australia (not built yet) but need 2 of them (2 V8 Rovers - not in the same vehicle though that would be really silly...hmm could also be a good project as well), thought i might...

bi Gas system by Neil
I have a 1997 Jaguar XJ6 that was converted by an installer 3 years ago. It has never run 100% but I've been happy on the whole. Anyway, the installer has gone out of business and I cannot find a local firm to service / tweak the system. I'm told it is a sequential injection bi-gas system. The problems I'm having are - mpg 24 petrol / 16 Gas and the kick down is lacklustre.

Engine stalling frustration.... by Adam Coombes
Hi all. Got my Rover V8 powered kit converted at last using open loop. It's an old carb'd engine and seem AOK except for one annoying foible. It idles sweet, revs well, pulls like a train etc. although it seems to take a while (1-2 secs) to drop back to idle in neutral, but that's not an issue. Timing is 10 deg BTDC with no pinking (on a 10.5:1 compression LPG's about the same as 5-star) When...

Does anyone have any experience of converting this to LPG. There are so many options it is a bit confussing. I've been quoted a price of £1450 from a lpga approved fitter. Is that good?

Removal of LPN Tank in Boot by Austin Shackles
On or around Wed, 13 Oct 2004 13:57:26 -0700, "Gary Compton" enlightened us thusly: I need some advice that I can't get in the US because we have so few cars that use LPN. Here we call it CPN (Compressed Natural Gas). I'm thinking of buying a used car which is set up to run on either LPN or gasoline (petrol). But where I live, Maryland (Eastern US), there is...
