Please Contact Sainsburys by
eddie.d
I wonder if members of this group can help. I know it relates to one
store but in the long run it could affect all LPG vehicles as
Sainsbury's ideas on LPG sales are corporate driven and not green
driven...................................................
On numerous occasions I have contacted Sainsbury's on the matter of
selling Auto gas but on every occasion have been told that they would
not...

Factory-fitted LPG by
Arek
I'm considering buying a second-hand factory-fitted LPG car. Are there any
other brands except Vauxhall and Volvo present in the UK market? How much
more (percentage-wise) should one reasonably expect to pay more for such a
car compared to a second-hand petrol car of the same brand/model and a
similar condition, age, mileage etc?
Thanks for you input!

Factory Fit LPG Conversion to Vauxhall Combo 1.6 Problems. by
Tom Burton
I have recently purchased a Vauxhall Combo 1.6 Van.
The Van Is Fitted with a factory fitted LPG kit. However I have not been
supplied with any sorts of instructions for the LPG gear. So I am not sure
what it is telling me with the various flashing lights and what not.
When I first start the van with in gas mode, it runs on petrol for a few
seconds until it reaches a predetermined temperature...

LPG cleanliness by
David Day
Just been having a discussion about engine wear of an LPG car compared to a
petrol car.
Do you think that an LPG car with 100k on the clock, has the same engine
wear that a similar petrol car has at 50k? Or would you say more or less?
I hope this is clear enough for you to understand.

Injector size??????/ by
George Gosbee
Hello all,
I now have fitted to my 1998 Cit XM 3.0 auto semi sequential a second hand
fitted by myself Bigas n system Works beautifully when under load i.e.
acceleration. But is very rough on tickover / low speed cruse, after a lot
of fruitless tinkering I have 2 remaining suspicions as to the trouble (1) I
have wired the injectors wrong and it works under load by the fact that they
are nearly...

Lambda gas control and carburetor engines by
Yvan
I have open loop LPG system on my '87 BMW 316 (carburetor). I was
advised to go closed loop. I found few lambda gas control kits online,
and I thought I could ask here if this is a good idea.
Am I going to benefit from going closed loop (and is it possible to do
so on the engine with carburetor)? Lower fuel consumption, less risk to
get engine too hot due to lean mixture? Smoother ride? Yes or...

Ford Focus bi-fuel mapping by
sheeper
I've got an 04 Focus 1.8 Bi-fuel (factory lpg - not a conversion)
which dies when cold starting and won't switch to lpg until warmed up
after about 2 miles. I'm told by those in the know that it is running
too lean and needs remapping.
My local garage's lpg expert says he can't do the job and only Ford
can do the job as they won't release the software for others to use.
My local Bristol Street...

How to calculate mixer size? by
Yvan
I have '87 BMW 316 with problematic Pierburg 1B2 carb (one barrel),
that I am replacing with Weber 32 ADF. So to be able to fit existing
filter housing I have to fabricate custom housing carrier / lpg mixer.
My carburetor is not here yet - it has two 32 mm progressive barrels,
so how do you decide on mixer size? I am thinking 34 mm internal
diameter:
~90 BHP x 10mm2 - 900 mm2 - 34mm mixer
or...

Wiring an LPG gauge. by
Elder
I have finally gotten the rangie idling on gas. So now it is my main
fuel.
It looks like when one of the previous 15 owners fitted the switch, they
didn't wire the gauge.
All the lights come on in sequence and never go down with fuel use.
In the boot are two LPG tanks each with a gauge and a two wire fly lead
with black and white wires. How do I wire it so that it can read the
combined level...

BiGas install questions? by
George Gosbee
Hello all,
Just got a s/h BiGas N type kit (to replace the BiGas SIS kit) for my Cit XM
3.0. A few questions for the LPG wizards.
1, I have to connect the gas injectors to cylinders 1,2,3,4,5&6 and cut the
petrol injector wiring into the car injector wiring no problem with doing
that. But paper work shows the cylinders running 1 to 6 right to left and
the corresponding gas injectors running...

LPG conversion outside the UK by
Andy
Hello.
First sorry for my not perfect English (I'm not native speaker) :).
I'm interested in buying car in the UK. It'll be probably Audi A4 2.4. The
price of the conversion to LPG for this car in the UK is about 1.4-1.6k
pounds. It's relatively expensive when you compare conversion prices in
Central European countries. I've quoted Czech Republic and Slovakian
APPROVED LPG converters and they...

DIY or not? by
andy
Hi Guys.
I have an 02 Jaguar 2.5 V6 auto which I would like to convert to LPG.
Now I have found a few kits on the net from about 600 quid upwards and
I am a reasonably competent mechanic and feel confident that I could
do the plumbing and bolting side of the job myself. The bit that
worries me however, is diving inside the ECU and tuning. The kits that
I have looked at say that they will provide...

Protoxide by
Andrea
Hallo!
Have anybody experience with nitrous oxide on LPG-fueled cars?
I own a Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.0 DOHC non turbo, LPG-fueled, and I wonder
if any trouble may occur combining LPG and NOx for boosting.

Recommendations for LPG conversions for a BMW 325i by
Jay
As there are so many kits available, I was wondering if anyone here would
know which one would be most suitable for a 2001 BMW 325i (6 cylinders). Do
any of these installations damage the engine in any way?
Any rough idea how much it would cost to have LPGA certified installation in
or around London?
Thanks in advance.
