Mercedes 500 sel poor economy by ben_weech@yahoo.com
Hi, I have recently converted my 500 sel to lpg.. as the topic reads, im suffering from poor economy when running on lpg. Ive got a 90 litre tank, and am getting about 160-180 miles out of this. I only do short journeys and light town driving though. I cant remember exactly what I was getting on a full tank of petrol before the conversion, but it was nearer 250 miles, which still wasnt great! I...

why does my zafira 1.8 2002 sometimes fill very slowly, sometimes normally, and sometimes not at all? Its usually the same pumps, but when I mention to the attendants they say no one else has any problems. Its so bad at one forecourt that I don't bother even trying anymore,it only manages about 50p then stops! Its a real pain, because I never know if its gonna fill ok when I'm at a place I've...

First time use of LPG pump by Ian Hatten
Well after lurking around here for several months I have at long last taken delivery of a new dualfuel Corsa. The first time I filled it the pump had very little by way of instructions and it was only from what I had read on the net that I knew how to fill the car. Question is that I understood that the pump would "click off" when the tank was full but this pump just slowed right down to a...

Baldness and sagging rears by Stewart Hargrave
I've just had some new tyres fitted to my old Volvo 740. The old front tyres were badly worn on their outside edges to the point of 1½" of bald tread on the edge. Over the past two or three years I have replaced every front suspension bush and steering joint and had the tracking checked several times. I'm tempted to have the camber and castor checked, but as these are technically non-adjustable...

Insurance, scaremongering and the lpga. by Badger
Hi all, I've got a bee in my bonnet at the moment about insurance of converted vehicles and the "alleged" lies being spread via the lpga's website. (They have published a list claiming that all the companies on it will ONLY insure you if you have LPGA certification, I personally know of 2 on that list that do not require LPGA certification, having checked with them myself this morning!) What...

Timing advance with LPG? by George Gosbee
Hello all, A request for information and opinions on the ignition timing of a V6 motor run by a Bosch 7.0 ecu both the injectors and the plugs are feed from this i.e. no distributor. Its a 3 channel system i.e. the plugs and injectors fire twice per 4cycle. I have fitted a LPG system to this (the petrol is still there for starting from cold). It is said that a LPG system will work better by...

LPG Range Rover - Stupid fuel consumption by Pete M
120 motorway miles to £25 worth of gas. (3.5 Classic Auto) This isn't good.. Mate of mine gets 110+ miles from £10 gas. However, it stinks of gas when it's running - enough to give me a stinking headache this afternoon... Has got a slight exhaust blow from the N/S manifold, and needed a new set of

Setting power valve using lambda voltages by DR.CLAYTON@TALK21.COM
The memory on my emmegas lambda ecu has been reset, as I had to disconnect the battery to do some work on it (btw, still the old escort at 170K). I've found someone who'll retune it, but he's on holiday for a few weeks, so I'm going to replace the stepper with a manual valve to keep me going on LPG for a few weeks, running open loop. I have read on the forum how to set-up without an exhaust...
