Air Intake by Dadio
LR Discovery (1995 3.9 V8i) The diameter of the air intake on my plenum chamber is about two and a half inches where it joins the large bore rubber tube which links it to the air flow meter and then on to the air filter. Presumably this large diameter is to allow plenty of air flow into the cylinders and is a necessary part of the design. The mixer supplied as part of my lpg conversion kit fits...

Traffic needed. Can anyone help? by Paul King
Hey everyone, I'd like to ask your advice, or at least the advice of all of you who are either interested in, or already involved in, creating income from the internet. I'm not exactly experienced in on-line money making, in fact all I've managed so far is money losing! I don't suppose anyone gets it completely right first time so I'm sure you all know what I mean. Probably my failings are due...

This is totally FREE and it ROCKS! by Paul King
Hi, I've just got to share this with everyone. It's totally free and a real life-changer! It's not every day that a guy who earns millions every year on the internet decides to tell anyone who's interested exactly how he does it. One things for sure, this is going to upset a heck of a lot of so called "gurus" when they find out that their money spinning secrets are being exposed. This site...

emmegas system in Range Rover - thoughts ? by Neil
Hello all I'm looking at buying a 1993 Range Rover with an emmegas single point system and twin sill tanks. The current owner has no documents, as this was fitted when he purchased the vehicle but has offered to get a 'gas safety certificate' from his local LPGA registered installers to give to my insurers. has anyone got any thoughts on this system ? Also has anyone got a rough cost to...

Fuel level sender - how to reverse resistance? by Peter
I finally got around to wiring LPG level sender into petrol gauge circuit. It kinda works - when LPG is full, gauge shows 1/2, and on LPG empty gauge shows 'Full'. Service manual says fuel level sender resistance is 0 when full, and does not specify resistance when empty. Any ideas what can I do to trick petrol gauge into showing the actual LPG level? Apparently I need to reverse resistance...

faulty lpg pump on focus to cost uk£1500 by rebeccagray
i have a factory built lpg ford focus nearly 4 yrs old. When the fuel changes over to lpg the engine cuts out.Ford have stated that the pump is at fault.Because the pump is within a sealed unit with the fuel tank the whole thing will need replacing and therefore will cost uk£1500 . This seems insane why build it in a sealed unit?It is the price to have another conversion. ford are adament that...

Bulk tank at home? by Dadio
Given that we do not have an LPG petrol station in the immediate area it would be nice to have a bulk tank at home. Does anyone have experience of fueling their vehicles from their own bulk gas tank? Is it a practical proposition? Thanks Les

Conversion in Wales by jips@freeuk.com
Hi, I am thinking about getting my Renault Laguna II 1.8 converted. Does anyone know where the nearest garage to convert my car would be. I live just outside Swansea, and I use the car everyday, so they would need to be able to lend me a courtesy car Many Thanks

Disco - where to site vaporiser by Dadio
I have taken the plunge and bought the bits to convert my (right hand drive) 1995 Disco 3.9 V8i to LPG but wonder what is the preferred location for the Reducer / Vaporiser. There is not a great deal of space under the bonnet and it looks as though the area where the jack is normally stored may be a contender. Someone suggested mounting it on a bracket attached to the suspension turret which...

LPG incident by Mark
Here is a piece from my local paper, thought you might find it interesting, especially the fire chiefs comments! "" The owners of a roadside cafe rushed to the aid of a family who had been sat in this car moments before it burst into flames in their car park. Wendy and David Nundy, who own Barney's Cafe, at Barnetby Top, reacted after seeing the car pull up outside their premises. Mrs...

Petrol Prices by Andrew
Does anyone know how prices get so high? Is it a tax increase? What are the components of the price? How many litres in a barrel? How much for refining? Transport? Retail profit? Tax? Is it all hiked by percentages of the spot price of oil? Is the Chancellor delighted? Are country people being disproportionally taxed more than urbs?

Hydrogen car by Peter
I'm wondering if hydrogen can be used in CNG (compressed natural gas) fueling systems? CNG systems store the gas in high-pressure tanks; hydrogen can be stored under the same pressure as well. If so, hydrogen could potentially be generated in each consumer's home via electrolysis of water, with electricity coming from wind turbine & solar cells mounted on the roof. And CNG fuel systems are...

I'm a jerk, but I'm RICH. by The Rich Jerk
Don't Waste My Time..... Lets get something straight. I am a jerk. I am obnoxious. I am lazy. And I don’t care, because I am FILTHY RICH. I am much too important to even be sitting here writing this right now. So I'll keep it short. I make several million dollars every year on the internet, doing almost nothing. Do you make that much money? Didn't think so. I’m the real deal. Whether you like it...

Help anyone!! When I have it switched to petrol there is a funny purring noise coming from the engine (similar noise to an exhaust pipe) When I switch it to lpg although the lpg doesn;t work the noise...
