lpg system keeps dropping back to petrol by
unclewobbly@talk21.com
Afternoon group...
I wonder if anyone can give me some pointers here as to what could be
the problem.
I have a BRG (BRC?) LPG system fitted and it keeps dropping back to
petrol. The evaporator is at running temperature (hand hot) and it
does it at odd times, sometimes for a fraction of a second (giving a
splutter when under power) and sometimes for minutes. This is at all
stages of a journey,...

Explain the case for and against emulation? by
George Gosbee
Hello all,
A question for the technically knowledgeable amongst us, I have a Citroen XM
3.0 auto 1998 with a ES9J4 motor and Bosch MP 7.0 ecu. Fitted with a BRC
Just Heavy system. This works apart from not very good mpg and it stalls
sometimes on tickover (lpg only).
Going through the instructions again I have found that the lambda sensor can
be wired to be emulated or not as needs be. But the...

setting up basic mixer system with 2 mixers by
Nathan Lucas
i have a 1.8 volkswagen with a webber dtml carb on it. the mixer is like 2
little mixers joined together and has 2 power valves. the only other
adjustment is 1 thumbscrew on the reducer. the powervalves (1 for each
mixer) are roughly 1/3 closed, and the reducer adjusted to give a tickover
of around 850 rpm.
the car is very lacking in power compared to on petrol - to drive it feels
like it...

Where next by
Last month the engine in my escort went cutup (1.8 zeta). The cause of this
tragic event was solely down to a spot of bad weather. Namely rain. The rain
water was sucked up through the air filter and entered the engine. The
engine tried to compress the water, but the water wasn't having non of that.
A good old Christian burial will be arranged in the near future for the
escort, that's if I am...

suddenly started running very bad-wouldnt idle above 250rpm and the

Managing the fuel pump with a gas conversion on my Mercedes 230 TE by
Roger Baker
I am fitting a conversion kit to my Mercedes 230TE.
To manage the fuel pump while running on LPG I have one relay which I have
been told by the supplier is to be fitted in the 12 supply to the pump.
I have since read that this is a big NO NO and would like some advice on
the best way to manage the injector pump please.
Thanks Roger

Which LPG system for Discovery? by
Nikki
Have had various quotes for fitting LPG to our Discovery.
Prins, OVML,LandiRezno are only three of the makes and all of them were
about the same price apart from the Prins, which was more expensive but came
with a 2 year warranty.
So for a year 2000 Discovery, are there any makes which suit it better or
are they pretty much all the same?

aircooled engine conversion questions! by
aston
I have a 2 litre air-cooled engine which I am about to convert to lpg, as
lpg burns much hotter than petrol I want to do everything possible to keep
the temperature down, so what can I do, I guess most of the work would
involves the lubrication system such as types of oil, coolers + more.
Any thoughts appreciated, Thanks

Leonardo connection - help! by
Dadio
I have almost finished the lpg conversion on my 1995 3.9 Disco but before I
chop the last few wires I would greatly appreciate your advice.
1. The Leonardo needs its blue/yellow wire connected to the throttle
position sensor (TPS) and the TPS has three wires coming out of it (Lucas)
yellow, red, green. Which should I connect to?
2. The Leonardo needs its orange wire connected to the...

Disco Plenum In Size by
Dadio
I have just tried offering up the mixer that was supplied to me for my 1995
LR Disco 3.9 and it does not quite fit.
The plenum chamber inlet is too large a diameter, by about 0.8mm, for the
"socket" on the mixer to push on.
It seems that I have a few choices....
Reduce the dia of the plenum chamber inlet.
Have "someone" bore out the mixer to increase its internal dia.
Swap for a slightly bigger...

Mini Bulk Tank at Home by
Dadio
Ok, a "proper" bulk tank at home seems like a non-starter for me if only
because of the 3 metre space required around it.
But what about a "mini" tank?
My nearest lpg filling station is a few miles away and it would be nice to
do a really "big" fill.
Has anyone ever tried filling portable tanks and then used those to top up
the car?

LPG interface cables by
Peter
There was a link in this group awhile ago to 'universal LPG interface cable'
on ebay, supposedly fits almost all models. I can't seem to find one now -
any pointers on where to look? Specifically I'm interested in Autronics &
BRC Just Light cables.
TIA,
Peter

Chrysler Grand Voyager 3.3 by
harrys@gmail.com
Hi,
We are thinking of converting our 3.3 Petrol grand voyager(1997).
Currently getting about 20/22MPG and doing at least 20k Miles per
annum.
Just wondering a few thing:
- Has anyone else has done the same on a Voyager, and if they
experienced any problems?
- Can anyone reccomend some converters in the Berkshire area?
