Misfire under load by
Peter
What could possibly cause misfire in one cylinder only when running under
load, rpm range 2-3K? It's V6 engine with separate coil pack for each cyl,
and plugs have been changed couple of months ago. It idles smoothly so I'd
tend to exclude any vacuum leaks. Misfires only when running on LPG (single
point closed loop), petrol runs just fine. When it misfires Check Engine
flashes (and computer...

Chrysler fuel mixture lean - how to fool the PCM? by
Peter
Can anybody tell me _exactly_ how Chrysler PCMs determine 'fuel mixture
lean' condition? I'm running Dodge Durango 99 on propane, and PCM
consistently throws P0171 condition. Propane computer (Autronic) feeds
emulated O2 sensor signal into vehicle PCM, and allows me to set emulation
parameters: time low (0V) and time high (1V). I've tried reducing 'time low'
to simulate richer mixture, but...

Bigas info wanted. by
George Gosbee
Hello all,
I have just obtained a Bigas sequential system to replace the Just Heavy one
now fitted to my 1998 Citroen 3.0 auto. Its the older SGIS system not the
newer N type. This one has the pressure sensor fitted in the Bigas ecu (not
the separate 2 pressure module) I have the software lead and dongle plus the
config file for this psa motor.
I can find all the info on the newer system...

Replacing SGI gas vapour filter by
Dave Griffs
My BRC sequent 24 SGI system has now done 12K. As I had the conversion done
over 100 miles from where I live it's a problem to take the car to the
installer for a service. He did say if I don't have it serviced, the most
important thing to do it to change the vapour filter (not the liquid one
built into the solonoid valve), every 10K or else the injectors may block.
Is it simply just a case of...

Fuel Tax on LPG by
jon
Some years ago I changed my vehicle and also the fuel I used from petrol to
diesel both for price and economy.
Now the economy is still better than petrol but the price at the pumps is
dearer.
The government increased the tax when more people began to buy diesel cars.
What is to stop the government increasing the tax on LPG to bring it in line
with other fuels?

Get Out Of My Car! by
Lynn
Watch this little old lady get her car back from a bunch of thugs! I
wouldn't
be surprised if this hasn't happened already in some of the more
self-reliant areas of our Country. (Sorry, this doesn't include Kerry or
Kennedy Country.)
But alas, it is pure fantasy here - it appears that the video was made in
the UK or Australia - places where owning a any type of self defense weapon
is against the...

water in tanks? by
tcarter
I've heard that LPG gas bottles (refillable - for BBQ's, caravans etc) can
contain water after being refilled many times.
Is this true? Does it affect car LPG tanks in the same way and, if so, how
should it be dealt with?
Regards,
Tony

Help!. Romano SGI in a 2001 BMW 520i auto.. Stalling by
Bazza
Hiya all,
I'm completely new to this forum.... Didn't realise anything like this
existed.... seems fantastic. Anyway was hoping someone might be able to
help me.
A couple of months ago I had my car converted to LPG. Cost me £1650
and the guy done a fantastic job concealing everything. It was real
neat, and I was very happy with it. It did however take him a whole
week to do, having promised it...

sorely tempted by
tcarter
I've had a look at the FAQ's and read through the postings here. It's your
experience and opinions I'd appreciate.
I'm sorely tempted to go for a 2002 Volvo S40 1.6 that was factory fitted
with dual petrol / LPG. It was a former demonstrator and after one owner has
31k on the clock. Priced at about £8k.
So......
Do you think it will be underpowered (I'm no boy racer)?

cold weather by
MVP
any issues with using LPG in cold weather?
aside from maybe taking a little longer to get hot coolant into the
vaporiser, any issues with say ic on the pipes (which I assume run
under the car), are they insulated? should they be?
blah-de-blah.
by 'cold weather' I doubt I'll see much below -5c

The Failure of LPG by
Silk
The take up of LPG is doomed to failure. I believe it's for the
following reasons: -
1) Dual-fuel cars limited to basic spec engines.
2) Diesel cars are still cheaper to run because, although LPG is cheaper
per litre, the economy of a modern diesel makes up for it.
