car shuddering below 2000rpm by Tom Woods
My car shudders (for want of a better word) when i'm driving at lower than abour 2000rpm. I can cope with it will pulling off, but it also does it when im just driving along normally and the only way to stop it is to drop down a gear. Sometimes it gets pretty rough (30-40mph in 4th gear is worst) and i'm starting to get concerned. The problem has been getting worse over the last 500miles or so....

Where to buy lpg kit for DIY. by david.cawkwell@tesco.net
Hello, Anyone know good suppliers of lpg kits for DIY. I just tried fesautogas and they are now saying they dont sell kits to the public anymore. They will sell parts but not kits. So I've gone off in a huff. I suppose they don't want to deal with problems when people come to fit them.

Generator lpg conversion probs. by CampinGazz
I've built a 12 volt generator for my motorhome, 3.5 horsey vertical shaft briggs and stratton engine, running a 70 amp alternator from a pug 306, I've converted it to run on lpg, but it's running rough. The engine is electric start, and i've got it on a key switch to start if from inside the van, with a throttle controll next to the starter switch, i've used a few relays as i need to...

local LPG price variance by Tom Woods
During the last week or so the prices at my 2 nearest gas stations have both changed.. One has gone up 5p and one down around 5p, so there is now a 10p difference between them (39.9ppl and 49.9ppl). Is this usual, or is there just someone who can't count working at the cheapest one? In the past theyve both tended to go up and down together, so have never been more than 2 or 3p different to each...

Anyone recommend an LPG conversion company, prefer in Norfolk by Madge O'Reene
I've pretty much decided on a Panda and would prefer a 4x4 petrol to a *spit* derv. How much should I budget for an LPG conversion?

Swapping LPG kit to a different car by Chris Bolus
I have an Omega 2.0 ecotec with lpg fitted. It's a bit of a shed really and my wife hates driving it, but the lpg is good, it's a pro conversion by CLS. It's the simple system with the "gas ring" on top of the throttle body. I've now bought a Merc E220 auto, much nicer car, but obviously more expensive to run on petrol. I was considering removing the lpg kit from the Omega to fit to the Merc;...

Insurance Companies DVLA and Certification by Baz
Hi, I have a Ford Scorpio Cosworth and anm about to fit the Romano SGI system. I have all the necessary info to install it as well as having taken it off the donor car. I also have the connection leads and software to programme it. I have been told that it needs certifying before it can be insured, but some on here mention that some companies don't require this. Which companies don't ask...

Dream LPG Injection any good? by david.cawkwell@tesco.net
Hi group, I've fitted a couple of the normal vapouriser lpg kits in the past and they have run fairly well. With my next car I'm thinking of using the tank from the old kit and using a OMVL Dream LPG Injection kit. Has anybody any experience of this kit. Will it be quicker to install than the more conventional vapouriser kits.

80% Tank Capacity by Ian Hatten
Second attempt at posting this, first attempt on 2nd April but still not appeared, apologies if it is double posted. My car is due to go in for its first service and before I ask them to investigate the LPG tank I could do with some advice. Since getting the car filling the gas tank has been very unpredictable. If the tank is 2/3 empty then I never seem to be able to fill it to its 80%...

80% tank capacity by Ian Hatten
My car is due to go in for its first service and before I ask them to investigate the LPG tank I could do with some advice. Since getting the car filling the gas tank has been very unpredictable. If the tank is 2/3 empty then I never seem to be able to fill it to its 80% capacity. If the car has travelled around 300 miles and the gauge has been reading empty for the last 50 miles or so,...

LPG Association Knows nothing about LPG by alex
Hello everyone Just want to express myself regarding new Budget 2006 from Browny. LPG Association who claims to be almost "authority" for gas conversions who collecting skyhigh membership fees did nothing to bring to government attention the benefits of LPG cars but changed old budget report on line with new dates in it. Looks like they didnt read it at all. Here is LPGA report on 2006...

Gas Starvation? by mvecd
I have a factory converted Vauxhall Zafira. Just lately when it has been idleling for a few seconds, ie when waiting to pull out of a junction, when I accelerate it sets off then almost cuts out, before switching onto petrol. Its as if it has run out of gas at that precise moment. It then runs fine back on gas. this can happen even if the tank is full. and it is quiet dangerous when pulling out...

Leaking check valves - suggestions? by athol
I've got a problem ATM that I've never come across before. I have a tank that is leaking out through the check valve in the fill port. The filler on the end of the hose is also leaking. In an ettempt to block the leak, I pulled the filler off the hose and replaced it with an inline check valve, which also leaked. Any suggestions on how to get the valves to seal properly, particularly the fill...

LPG and Carbs - Land Rover by Neil Cummins
Hi I have a 1983 Land Rover 110 V8 CSW, which I predominantly run on LPG - in fact I hardly ever use petrol. Yesterday I had to switch to petrol for the first time in probably 6 months or more and soon started to smell petrol. On investigation I found petrol slowly dripping from the bottom of one carb and quickly dripping from the other - in fact I had a small (but growing) pool...

New Road Tax Rates by CJ
S'cuse the ignorance but how do the new Road Tax rates apply to a '92 Rangie 3.9 Efi, Catalyst, with LPG system fitted? I'm a reasonably new owner and haven't the faintest about any discounts available for the above car. From what I've read, so far, discounts seem to only apply to new cars. If there are very low CO2 emissions from my car, does that mean there'll be a low rate of Road Tax,...

Romano Evaporator and temperature sensor by Martin
The only item out of my big box of bits I don't know what to do with is a temperature sensor with orange and black wires on it (Romano N) this is supposed to measure the temperature of the evaporator. Now how would it do this? The original installer doesn't want to install the kit or if he can help it advise me. Sensor is 12mm by 6mm dia approx.
