Hi I've had LPG fitted to my 99 Vectra 2.5 V6 for just under a year now and I've notice that accelerating or applying power at low revs is no longer smooth on LPG (fine on petrol), occasionally I get a quiet back fire if I persist on keeping the pedal to the floor (overtaking at 50mph in 5th gear instead of dropping a gear). This problem has been a feature of the OMVL system fitted to a Ford V8 I own. If you miss the first 'kick', then you have to crank the engine as if to clear out an over-rich situation. I wonder if any one can help, does the old emmegas changeover switch( 7 wires on back of unit) automatically change the vehicle to gas once running, or do you have to do it manually. I am willing to buy an automatic unit, but if the one I have does it, then why spend the money on something that is perfectly fine.
