Hello all,
Anyone know the implications of the new expensive car tax disc that is coming, I know that my C5 V6 December 01 will be more costly but will fitting lpg and having the V5 log book updated make any difference? TIA George. |

No. Because you get assessed on the manufacturer's emissions estimate which won't change. So you're looking at £400 a year in VED. |

But I just got off the phone with the DVLA and they said you can ask VOSA to test the car - on LPG and if it is lower CO2, you may be able to reclassify your vehicle. I'm hopefully going to contact Vauxhall UK to get them to agree mine was wrongly classed at first registration so I'm hopefully not going to be left with VOSA as the only option. |
