Due to the high price of petrol, I note large engined cars are
suffering heavy depreation so therefore a bargain can be had until you
hit the pumps of course. So natrually LPG would equal the balance,
however it takes so long to pay for its self in the uk there is little
point, as depreation eats away at savings. so does anyone know the
different prices for installations in different countries within
Europe or which country would be the cheapest for buying a kit? Thanks

Poland is probably the best bet.

I have heard of prices of about 1200 euros for a four cylinder fit

For what sort of "four cylinder fit"? It's possible to get LPG kits
installed in the Uk for that sort of money, just don't expect to get a
multipoint injection system for that sort of money.

BTW, don't top post old boy.

I purchased the lpg kit for my Vw from a dealer in wales for £400 and
an installer charged me £250 for fitting only 2 years ago, It still
took me over 4000 miles to pay for it's self. I just got a quote from
the greenfuel site and they quoted 4 years to pay for itself at 5000
miles a year, depreciation would have made the conversion pointless. I
would need to do 20k a year just for the thing to pay for its self in
12 months.
I do remember when we bought our jeep that lpg converted cars were no
more to purchase than non converted cars, so the moral is buy one
allready converted so it's someone elses loss! Perhaps?
where would be the cheapest place to buy a multipoint injection
system for a mercedes v8? thanks
