Default Focus LPG - poor starting and acceleration

I've just bought a 2001 factory LPG focus and it's got similar
problems to these:

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/uk....812eedc57cc0dc

It doesn't start well and stutters under hard acceleration on LPG,
although it accelerates fine on petrol - so I wondered if the filter
may need changing. Changed the HT leads to no avail and the petrol
side recently had a full service, although not by an LPG specialist.

It's one lady owner full service history but I can't find any record
of the LPG filter having been changed - three years of overpriced ford
dealers who didn't touch it, then three years of independents who
wouldn't know what to do with it!

The specialists round here are very helpful but like the original
poster I'm having trouble booking it in they're so busy, so any info
would be much appreciated.

Get a cylinder leak test done straight away. I would put money on leaky
inlet or more likely exhaust valves due to recession .

Whats the mileage?
