Default Idling problems with gas

Hi all

I hope someone can help!!
I've got a Honda Accord (99) which i had converted to gas a year ago.
When I drive the car in petrol mode, its fine and never cuts off. But
when I drive in gas mode, its fine for a few days, but then the
engine
management light on the dash board lights up and the car starts
cutting off. This cycle continues all the time and I've been down to
the garage where I had the conversion done, but they've got no
answers
to the problem apart from blaming the car for not been suitable for
gas conversion (which they carried out).

Anyone have a clue of whats going on with the car???

Its getting to a point where the car has become dangerous to drive as
it cuts off on traffic lights when i slow down.

Please give suggestions!!!!

Thanks

Rouhel

Hondas are something mysterious, but I can suggest something. Evan
because Rover users should have the same trouble, and this doen't occur.

You should give a brief description of your LPG system, to help us.

Maybe the Lambda or ECM interface could be bad, and you probably need a
different LPG device.

The "check engine" light may be due to various problems, bad air to fuel
ratio, or bad lambda values. You may find a good improvement by using a
K&N air filter (even the extreme ones) giving more breath to your
engine. Or checking the ignition: coils, wires, plugs (which are of
paramount importance in a good LPG combustion, I recommend NGK platinum).

A third reason could be that the car is 8 years old: are you sure that
LPG didn't reveal some hidden troubles i.e. water leaking from head
gasket or air leaking from exhaust/throttle gasket? I own a 1991
Mitsubishi, and all the troubles I had were from everything but the LPG..

Remember: there's NO car unsuitable for LPG. Also a check at a Honda
workshop or a different, valued LPG installer, may give you a good answer.

Let me know

thanks for the suggestions mate. The LPG system I've got is a Lo-Gas
system. I dont really know too much about it, thats probably the
reason why I cant get to the problem. Anyway I'll let you know on
progress Andrea, thanks
