Default Apparent air flow problem

Hello Everyone,

I have an LPG system on a 2000 cc l400 Mitzubishi Space Gear (1997).
It runs well on LPG but not so well with gasoline. I've noticed that
it will run better if I momentarily remove the air filter, or bypass
the altitude compensator, which to my understanding results in bleeding
a little more air into the carburetor. I'm suspecting that the mixer
is simply blocking some air. I've read that the internal size of the
mixer should be about 7.7 to 10 sq. mm per hp. This seems like a big
range. How can I determine whether I have the right size mixer or that
a larger mixer might solve the problem?

Thanks.
