Hi
I've had LPG fitted to my 99 Vectra 2.5 V6 for just under a year now and I've notice that accelerating or applying power at low revs is no longer smooth on LPG (fine on petrol), occasionally I get a quiet back fire if I persist on keeping the pedal to the floor (overtaking at 50mph in 5th gear instead of dropping a gear). I have a feeling that one or more sparkplugs are not igniting the gas when in the cylinder, could it simply be that I need new sparkplugs or is it something more serious? Thanks Mark -- www.markdootson.co.uk |

Every problem i have with my gassed car always seems to be down to part of the ignition system! I just had trouble at low revs like you, and it was down to my points (so probably not applicable to your car!). I didnt get any back fires though - when i have had those it has been down to a single spark plug or lead not working. |

I had this problem when I refilled after the gas ran complety out. I put
some ignition system cleaner in the petrol tank drove the car around the block a few times and left it over night. The next day I gave the car a good run up the M1 after 5-10 min it was running fine. |
