The last conversion i did I "T"ed off the heater pipes for the
vapouriser.. from that day forward the car heater wasn't all that brilliant. my latest car is '96 Rover 420 ..I intend to convert this.... I say as long as the car does not have a valve on the heater pipes that stops the flow ..then its OK just to run the main heater pipe thru the vapouriser without having to resort to T's which allow the water to make a short cut home, instead of going to the car heater. What do you think guys, views, experiences much appreciated. I've no idea if the Rover has such a valve fitted. All the best.mark |

if you mean run the pipe through the vapouriser then the heater then I
suspect you will have cold water going through the heater. You could try going the other way, but you would then have cooler water heating the vapouriser. "mark" wrote in message oups.com... I've done that in vehicles where the heater is constant flow as you describe with no ill-effects. I've also done 'em with a T. The only one that a series circuit won't work on is where the heater is turned off by a water valve, so you need to find that out for certain or you get a gas system that only works when the heater's on... -- Austin Shackles. www.ddol-las.net my opinions are just that If all be true that I do think, There are five reasons we should drink; Good wine, a friend, or being dry, Or lest we should be by and by; Or any other reason why. - Henry Aldrich (1647 - 1710) |
