I have heard that you can use heater oil in a diesel engine with a little 2 stroke added, does anyone have any history of this such as possible engine damage? Many years ago, I ran a large agricultiral spark ignition engine on kerosene, to replace the obsolete TVO it was designed to run on. Engine was "duel fuel" in that it started on petrol, then switched to kerosene. Had to be switched back to petrol before it was stopped, or it wouldn't restart again when cooled off. The only modification to the engine was a combined inlet/exhaust manifold, designed to transfer heat to the incoming fuel. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

You can run diesel engines on C2 grade kerosene, but the chances are that you knacker the injection pump as the fuel will not have the right lubricants. -- Austin Shackles. www.ddol-las.net my opinions are just that In Touch: Get in touch with yourself by touching yourself.
