Default Price of LPG in UK?

Is the price (duty) of LPG going to rise? If so, any idea by how much and when?
Thanks
Michael

Yes.

There has been no indication (that I've seen) of how much.
As for when - "gradually ... over the next three years".

i.e. nobody really knows - we'll have to wait and see.

we'll get some indication presumably in the next fudge-it.

of course, if these abtsrasd get kicked out at the next election it might
change, although there's a precedent for leaving the previous regime's
proposed tax hikes in place... as witness the fuel duty escalator, which was
only removed by Reichschancellor von Braun *after* it'd been escalated about
as far as it could go, almost to the point of inciting a revolution...

buggremall..

but the essence is as he said, we don't know.

1.5p per litre per annum over the next 3 years - I've heard, from a
single unverified source, not a treasury expert.

well, if that was all, I'd not complain unduly. at the moment it's around
4.5p/litre (though it's actually taxed in kilos, ISTR) and as such it'd go
up to about 9p. current duty on unleaded and ordinary diesel is about 45p.

what worries me is the possibility of it going up to more than about 20p.
