Forgive me for not being so knowledgeable about this subject, but
whenever unleaded fuel was introduced to us, were the valves and shims, etc not hardened for this purpose? Or is it that the ford zetec engine has a problem with lpg. |

us thusly: Forgive me for not being so knowledgeable about this subject, but whenever unleaded fuel was introduced to us, were the valves and shims, etc not hardened for this purpose? Or is it that the ford zetec engine has a problem with lpg. ford screwed up on the spec for the seats/valves, is my guess. They've apparently started retro-fitting heads to petrol-powered ones... Mind, I don't for sure know which engines are affected - not all of them are. I *thought* it was mostly 1.8 focus engines, but then again, they may share the same head as the 1.6 -- Austin Shackles. www.ddol-las.fsnet.co.uk my opinions are just that In Touch: Get in touch with yourself by touching yourself. Pre 98 Silver tops are fine without. The 1.25/1.4/1.6/1.7 Zetec S/ SE engines are advised to have flashlube. Tim.. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
