I was a little concerned about the absence of a spare when considering
buying my Volvo bi-fuel, until I thought back over more than twenty years of driving and realised that I'd used a spare just once (when at full speed on a deserted country my front wheel hit a rock that had rolled out into the road from a bank). I stopped worrying about the lack of spare. Of course if you run off-road a lot or there's a lot of broken glass and other junk on the roads in your area, it might be more of a worry, but I haven't had occasion to test the aerosol yet ... Does anyone know of a supplier of space-saver wheels? Get some of the aerosol tyre sealant. It won't repair a blow-out but if you keep an eye on the condition of your tyres, blow-outs are rare events. In fact if you keep an eye on your tyres having unexpected problems is very rare indeed. -- "I have come up with a sure-fire concept for a hit television show, which would be called `A Live Celebrity Gets Eaten by a Shark'." -- Dave Barry, "The Wonders of Sharks on TV" |
