Scotsman on the scrounge again...
We live in the land of the 40p litre LPG (South Devon) and are off to London soon travelling M5, A303, A30, M3 - anybody know of cheap LPG on our route (something around the 29.9p I paid at Morrisons Cardiff would be nice :-)) Graeme |

I can't imagine this being red diesel so it must be LPG. (I can only read the price from the M5, the letters for the fueltype are too small) Otherwise there is the shell down the road there that does 34.something last time I checked. This is of course nowhere near the 303 .. but I do the trip to London every week from Plymouth and the M4/M5 route is a lot faster. (Door to door in 3 hours and 10 minutes yesterday evening - Plymouth/N15 London) Cheapest LPG I know in south Devon is the BP/Safeway one just of the A38 in Plymouth for 37.9p L |

Thanks for your help Graeme |

Causeway - it's only open 9-5 but is usually 1p a litre cheaper than the Shell place - it's easy to overshoot the entrance but it's handy for the M5 I saw it, but I normally drive past late(r) at night so Andy's is always closed. There is also a Sainsbury's near Tiverton just off the M5 - OK for cars but no use for a trailer as access is tricky. I sometimes get LPG in Cullompton, also just off the M5. Nice guy called Sid on an industrial estate, BP if I am not mistaken. There are also the Shell (coming from Plymouth) on the 38 and the Jet (on the 380, slightly of course ) in Kennford. Thanks for your help Graeme Have you ever tried the one on the Lee Mill ind. estate just of the A38? .. It was closed the two times I was there, looks like one that could be cheaper then the BP's. L No - we head off down the A380 at Telegraph Hill towards Torquay and use the Jet, there is a BP in Torquay itself and that's it for the whole of our area :-( Graeme |

Thanks for your help Graeme I often fill at Tiverton Sainsbury's while towing a 5m caravan - no problem getting atrailer in there. Cheapest gas in the area is usually at Thorn Falcon, 2 miles from Sainsbury's on the A358 towards the A303 at the top of the hill by the traffic lights. This is the one you can't get a trailer into easily, as you have to reverse down beside the pump. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |
