Looking for a 2-seater classic by Robert Pearce
....for a friend. I've got too many cars already! Anyway, said friend fancies a bit of classic motoring, but he's not got time for restoration work. And he's not that rich either. So he's after: Tax exempt Convertible (preferably 2-seater) Something sporty (looking, rather than performance) Reliable (he'll be using it daily, 10 mile commute) Cheap (up to GBP2000 region)

When i drive the car and use the brakes, I get a squeely noise from one of the front brakes, the shoes are in very good condition, (plenty of lining on it,) After i have driven the car about a half mile it then stops making the noise. unless it is very cold weather. Has anyone got any ideas what might be causing the noise???

Curved dash Oldsmobile by John Mann
For some local history research into the first person to own a car in a local village, does anyone know: 1. When Oldsmobiles were first imported into the UK? (the Curved Dash seems to have been the most popular model so it would very likely have been this. We have been given a date of 1900 for this particular car but this can't be right as they weren't made till 1901!) 2. How much did the car...

Trying to find 2 pin electronic flasher unit by Simon
I'd like to replace the 2 pin can-style thermal flasher unit in my '69 Pontiac GTO with an electronic unit, similar to this one: http://www.hella.com.au/cgi-bin/catalogue.pl?flcmd=preview&flmaint=180 (The picture isn't correct as it shows 3 pins) I can find plenty of 3 pin units, which I could obviously adapt for use, but I'd rather not modify the wiring if I can avoid it. Anyone know where I...
