Dimensions of a MKII Jaguar? by
Howard Rose
Can anyone tell me the physical dimensions of a 1963 MKII Jaguar 3.8
MOD? My father is wondering if the one he's seen for sale will fit in
his garage...
A schematic diagram from a brochure or similar would be perfect.
And what would be a good price for an absolute mint and completely
unrestored example?
Thanks in advance!

Limited slip diff question by
Willy Eckerslyke
A while back someone here taught me that you can identify an LSD by the
fact that turning one output shaft (or wheel if it's still on the car)
causes the other one to turn in the same direction, whereas on a
conventional diff, it would turn in the opposite direction.
This worked on the rear wheel drive car I was fiddling with, but could
someone please confirm whether this is also true for...

Wanted: Wipac 470 SPOT light by
Howard Rose
Does anyone have any of these lamps?
http://vw1300.howard81.co.uk/accessories/badgebar.jpg
It's the lamp on the left of that picture with the *clear* lens. It
says "Wipac Stainless 470". Even if just the glass I would be
interested...
Unfortunately I've had an accident in my car and the front end of my
'66 is an exact imprint of a crash barrier on the A35... So I need to

CLJ498, 1936 Riley 9 by
Howard Rose
Anyone know the whereabouts of this Riley 9? It belonged to my
godfather many years ago (1950's) and hasn't been seen since then.
However, according to the DVLA the tax expired on January 9th 1997...
so it must still be about!!
I would love to hear from anyone if they know anything about it. Is
there a Riley 9 club or anything about?

MG on a roof in Bristol by
Pete W
Yes really!
Does anyone remember a motor dealer in Bristol who used to have a big ol'
1930's yellow saloon perched on top of it's premises?
Probably "RTS Motors" or the like. Apparently it was up there from the 60's
to the early 90's and became quite a landmark. I have just met the present
owner of the car and he would love a picture of it up there on the roof as
part of the car's history...

Newbie by
Colin Jacobs
Just joined the group. Have a 1936 Morris Eight & an 1955 Austin A50. Latter
was for sale but withdrawn as fed up with Time Wasters.
Just been given an arc welder in good working condition I tried it out at
home in my shed plugged into an extension lead from the house but it keeps
tripping the electric. What has gone wrong?

Swansea Issue Chassis Numbers. by
Pete M
I'm doing some work on an old 1969 MGB GT for a friend of mine and quite
possibly buying it.
Strange thing is, I was under t'bonnet earlier on and noticed that it's got
a Swansea issue SABTVRO chassis number.
Now, I have had a problem with these in the past, having had one forced on
me, very nearly along with a Q registration, on a Delta Integrale.
The MGB, on the other hand, has what must...
