ash1293@gmail.com
Trying to find out if the starter motors from a mini/spitfire 1500 are
interchangeable? - I vaiguely remember someone telling me a while back
when out in the pub.... Both are Lucas M35J type however seem to have
different part numbers:

4 seat classic car by
Colin
I am looking to sell my two MGB's (1.8 & 3.9L) and replace them with one
classic that will carry four people (two very small ones)
The GT6 looks good, but does it have proper rear seats or is it a shelf??
Any other ideas.
Cheers

FS: TR7 V8 by
Pete W
OK, it's a blatant plug but I've had the car for 9 years so this hardly
makes me a dealer... :-)
I've had some fun, I've done the V8 thing, so it's on:

in "classic and collectors".

(Still got the '36 MG though)

Morris Oxford & Austin Cambridge Farina Road Tests on CD ROM by
ejay26
Hi,
To help fund restoration of my Morris Oxford VI, I've produced a CD ROM
containing a collection of road tests, brochures and articles about the
Farina range.
These have been scanned from magazines and books dating from 1959 to
2005.
I've put it on eBay here - http://tinyurl.com/bg4we
or you can find it by searching my eBay member name - ejay26
If anyone from this group is interested I can...

Where is this on the V8? by
Liam Healy
Where on my old SD1 carb/manifold set up doI find the servo/vacum
take-off gubbins ?
What does it look like, what does it do (brakes not dizzy-right?) and
can I take it out and swap it over to my new manifold? I'm trying to
find something I think might look like a temp sesor but I can't find
mention of it in any manual anywhere.

Wanted; Stag. by
Badger
Hi all, am looking for a very good condition triumph stag, not too bothered
if it has original or rover v8 engine, either auto or manual, but must be
rust-free, tax-free, have bot hard and soft tops and be MOT'd. The further
North within the UK the better, as I'm in Morayshire.
Ta,
Badger.

Get Out Of My Car! by
Lynn
Watch this little old lady get her car back from a bunch of thugs! I
wouldn't
be surprised if this hasn't happened already in some of the more
self-reliant areas of our Country. (Sorry, this doesn't include Kerry or
Kennedy Country.)
But alas, it is pure fantasy here - it appears that the video was made in
the UK or Australia - places where owning a any type of self defense weapon
is against the...

Torque Wrenches ..hmm. by
Liam Healy
My better half has finally got with the programme and has agreed to buy
me a torque wrench for christmas - woohoo! (who needs to wear boxers or
socks anyways)
I have managed to break the few I have ever owned, so I'm going to
trawl ebay and see if I can find a very good quality one.
I need it to go from 11 to 217 NM (the SD1 mob will recognise those
values), not sure what the MGB will need. I...

Best way to flog a V8 by
Willy Eckerslyke
Apologies if this looks like a thinly disguised advert - it's not
intended too, honest!
I could do with some advice as to the best way to sell a Range Rover V8
engine. I'd hoped to list it on Ebay with the words "can be heard
running", but it can't anymore as the starter motor has died. It worked
long enough to drive on and off the trailer, but that's it.
Also, the water pump leaks like a...

Polyurethane bushes by
David Balfour
I've been having some suspension issues with the Spitfire (1500) for a while
now, it rattles a lot over bumps and doesn't feel tight anymore. I've driven
one with the standard setup but with polyurethane bushes and that was great.
I've consequently been thinking about poly bushing mine hoping this will
solve the problem. If it doesn't, and at some later stage I find the
springs are knackered,...

Rebuilding a Spitfire ragtop? by
S1500
Even though it is cold & snowy in Minnesota(USA), I took the initiative
of taking the ragtop out of the garage, and into the warm laundry room.
Nice little winter project for me to embark on. That project? Rebuilding
my Spitfire's worn ragtop hardware and slapping on a new ragtop.
Questions:
How big are the pop rivets I'm supposed to use on the front seal
headliner supposed to be? I'm going...
