Vinyl roof again...... by georgina Smith
Oh wise people, What is the best product to clean my newly stuck down Vinyl roof? Are there any proprietary cleaners available or is it just elbow grease I need? Cheers in advance.

early registration numbers by Tom
I'm selling a car and a few people have asked if the reg is the original, the car was registered in 1954 and has a reg with three numbers followed by 3 letters, but quite a few cars from this era seem to have three letters followed by three numbers. Does this mean mine has been changed? Would there be anything on the registration document to indicate this? Thanks --

How much is too much.... by Howard
A little while ago, my 75 Spitfires engine had a vacuum line that was split. After the obligatory vacuum line joke from my local auto store employee, he procured a length of the correct size and I managed to get the engine running again. I was pondering this weekend while I was on a road trip (Sadly, not in it) just how much of the lines and bottles up there are really necessary?

Alternator warning lights by Ian Johnston
Hi Folks, I am planning to replace the original alternator on my DS with an internally regulated one - mainly to get rid of the unreliably external regulator and the rat's nest of wiring which goes with it. The substitution looks easy but there is one point on which I am not sure. In the original system the regulator box provides a switched earth for the dashboard charging warning light:...

Trim Rings/Wheels by Howard
I recently ordered some trim rings from a local dealer for my 75 Spitfire. When I received them, they did not fit (they kept popping off). When I told him, he said I might have wheels from a MG Midget on. Who/What else used the same size wheels as the Spitfire?

Triumph Spitfire 1500 Model by Howard
Hi All, In the mid 1980's I was stationed at NAS Miramar California, (The place they shot the "Top Gun" movie) I had 1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500, but had to give it up (the Navy had other plans for me). I was recently given a second chance, and bought a 75 Spitfire. It is amazing what 30 years will do to a car (sadly, it had not been kept up as well as the first).

77 spitfire by tpp
I have 77 spitfire with weber carb. I have problems with the fuel flooding into the carb and have read where you should put a fuel pressure regulator on to dial it down to 1.5 psi. Can any one recommend where to but one? Also, can you also recommend where to buy an electric fuel pump? thanks tom penno

Impossible Lamps by vincent
Does the Lund Headlamp which I am looking at, exist? I've asked everyone for months now and the name Lund has not been heard of! Its just a shallow chrome shelled 7" lamp with the bezel clamped by bolt - no markings. The lamp mounting has a riveted flange, the bulb is a large two filament 2" globe with a three pin mounting which twists in to its base. The glass has Lund Lamp cast in the...
