Fade-out interior lights in classics ? by
Lee Griffiths
We just bought a *new* family can and I've gotta say that I enjoy the
gadgets it has such as fade out interior lights. So when you close the
door the light(s) stay on for say 10 seconds then fade out.
I want them on my old cars!
Anybody attempted this as I guess you can rip the components from a
modern car ? and/or anyone seen a kit available for this ?
Lee

Porche for £300 by
BORG
Had a lot of work done on it, Engine runs very nice,
OK so it's not the best but it's had a fair bit spent on it and for
£300 it could be a nice project.

OT: Christmas question by
S1500
I was watching some Doctor Who episode and they were celebrating
Christmas. One of the characters(The Doctor, I think?) had a paper crown
or something on his head. And something else popped. ???
From someone in America, can you explain this to me? Searching Google
came to no avail.
The only Christmas miracle today was I found a pin wrench that can
unscrew those 3 cylinders on the bottom of...

UNF Fasteners by
Campingstoveman
Gentlemen,
I've just spent the morning removing the front brake cylinders of my 1969
Bedford CA Camper to replace with new units ready for an MOT, unfortunately
some of the 1/4 UNF bolts have been necked and one sheared when I was
fitting a new cylinder.
Does anybody know of suppliers in the Bedford area who would stock 1/4 UNF x
9/16 long Hex Head set screws.
Thanks,

Daimler V8 engine by
David
I have a Daimler V8 automatic. The engine is in need of reconditioning.
I have been offered a reconditioned Daimler V8 engine but from a manual
car. Will I be able to just fit the auto box onto a the new engine by
swapping the auto box, adaptor plate, torque converter and housing etc,
or will the end of the crank be different.
Any ideas.
Thanks
David
