Paint My Subaru Glittery Pink Please by karen
Hello, I really want my car pink.. so much in fact, I have devoted a website to that exact end in the hope of raising enough sponsorship to make my glittery pink dream a reality. I need as much help with my quest as possible and wondered if you would be interested in making a pinkless woman happy and content. You can read my plight here http://www.paintmycarpink.com I hope you will feature...

advice on mk iv spit total respray by Bill
TEST "Ed" wrote in message ... The trick with cans is to REALLY shake them for 5 minutes before you use them - use LOTS of light coats so that each drys before the next (only takes a minute), and ONLY mask off surrounding panels (never mask off part of a panel!) The best canned-paint I got from a place in Brum which...

Hand formed body panels? by FLATCAP1
Wonder if anyone using this group has any specific experience of making hand made panels, using a wheeling machine? I know this is perhaps unlikely, but it would be very helpful if anyone did, as I would like to ask a few questions regarding this. TIA Chris

Rover V8 in a Spitfire by Jonathan Halsall
I was talking with my next door neighbour today, and he has recently transplanted a 3.5 litre rover V8 into his mk1 Landrover. I brought up the idea of putting a rover V8 into a Spitfire, and he thought it would be fairly easy to acheive. How realistic is this idea, and what would the major problems with such a transplant?

Ford Escort Mk2 Ghia by chris
All, Sorry, new to this group. I have been asked by a friend to see if anyone would be interested in buying the following car. I have no idea on the value, so maybe some pointers here would be good. It is a mk2 1.3 Ford Escort Ghia. It is light blue with a Vinyl covered roof, but the Vinyl has peeled off in most places and will need replacing.

Rover V8 in a Spitfire by MC
Having read all the replies I am a bit surprised you've not had one from someone who has actually done it. Chap I work with has a Rover V8 in his hurricane. He races all over the place for fun...in fact we're off to the Nurburg in a month. I have a feeling that he runs a pretty standard diff/clutch/gearbox and doesn't have problems. THe thing he does say is to make sure everything is working as...

rusty middle/outer sills by Tim
Wow - that is one rusty sill! I had an FD1600 as my first car, then an FE1800 and FE2300 after university. The original outer sill became so thin that I gouged a huge hole in it against a rock in a car park, but the middle part of the sill was still perfect - that would have been in 1987 (on a 'N' reg car). The FE1800 had a good body, and the FE2300 a good engine so the way forward was obvious!...

Loack nuts on the flywheel on A series? by Stephen
Hi All I'm putting my A series engine back together after a complete re-build of my Frogeye. I can't remember what sort of lock nut it had on the flywheel bolts. My Haynes manual shows some of the two holed arc of metal types, but I can't find any in my box of bits -any ideas? Regards Stephen
