windscreen cover by pork'n'stuffing
My windscreen went last night, spectacularly. Bird I think - but the screen has completely shattered, not a single piece larger than my thumbnail, although its intact and in place. No worries, comp insurance, phone the insurance company. They put me through to Auto Windscreens, who say they dont have a screen for a Morris Minor laying about and they can order one, say two days. Dischuffed, I limp...

Morris Oxford 'Mo' by rovereab
Hi I have a mate with a Morris MO and have been out in it several times, I have also driven it. I would say that the car is typical of a 1950s car and this is all part of the charm. It can easily keep up with modern traffic and I found the steering to be positive. I would say if it is in good condition why not buy it. Regards

How do I convince the missus? by Eugenio Grapa
Here is my working strategy : First bought myself a Peugeot 404 67 convertible (second family car) and drove my better half on lots of lovely picnics. Then bought father-in-laws Alfa Guilietta for dirt cheap (didn't tell her about all the shop costs later...) I let her drive both, loved them. The alfa is normally my daily driver (home to the train station and back). Take the lovely lady to car...

MAKING MONEY COULDN'T BE EASIER TURN £6 INTO £60,000 THIS IS A LIFE CHANGER! I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of pounds within weeks with only an initial investment of £6! So I thought, Yeah right, this

Fitting K&N + other bits to a Merc 300TE by David Lane
I've got a 1988 300TE 12v estate and I'm looking to alter it a bit. Yes, I know it's not yet a classic but it's immaculate, low mileage and I intend to keep it. Does that qualify? This is after there was a major fault - the engine would suddenly lose power and when the accelerator was pushed it would just produce smoke. This was traced to a faulty temperature sender unit (thanks Sewells of Leeds...

I am trying to find out who supplied the original valve seats for the triumph dolomite sprint engine. Hopefully with the aim of ascertaining the hardess/and/or suitability for use with unleaded. The current opinions vary,Its an alloy head so the seats will be hardened, the tr7 used the same basic engine and was supplied to the USA so it will be ok etc, etc. I am after the definitive answer rather...
