goodwood festivle of speed by
mobydick
Yes I would its gone from one of the best Historic events you could go to a
wheel spinning ,Max power, go faster , dumbed down corporate event.
But still has some good cars there so on the whole worth a visit.
This is my opinion and I am entitled to it so don't start on to me about it

Well, the making £50 bit might be hard, but saving it probably won't be
if the chassis is complete.
And well done, btw. Turning something...

Weber Carb Supplier by
SteveH
I need a new carb for my Golf, but am struggling to find someone to sell
me a Weber replacement.
I've tried Webcon, but they won't sell me anything as their book doesn't
list the carb I know is right for the engine for that year of car.....
Any other suggestions,
Cheers,

WTD: Rover v8 engine by
Simon Clayton
I'm after a Rover v8 engine, preferably a 3.5 with the higher compression
ratio.
Condition is not too important as I plan on rebuilding it anyway. However
being close to the North West UK is.
Looking in the region of 100 to 150UKP, maybe more if all ancillaries are
present.
Many thanks

BOC gas cylinder rental avoidance by
George Bray
I've just read previous postings related to the extremely high cost of
BOC cylinder rental in the UK. I share some of the contributors'
frustration.
Does anyone know how to 'decant' a gas like nitrogen, CO2 or oxygen
from one of the BOC cylinders into some other vessel? i.e. in order to
return their precious cylinder and thereby stem the expense,
especially if one only uses a little gas every so...

Rust in seams... by
Dave Plowman
I'm finally getting round to fitting the 'new' doors I got for the SD1,
and have stripped them out. They're in near perfect condition apart from a
*small* amount of surface rust just showing in the seam between the skin
and the bottom of the frame. So what's the best way to treat this given
that they have to be sprayed anyway as they're the wrong colour? And
should I use seam sealer?
Also,...

Hi
After respaying the 2CV in Spring this year, I re-attached the badges (the
ones on the bootlid that is) using double-sided sticky tape.
This seemed to hold well, but in the recent spate of hot weather the glue
melted and they fell off!
