Starting problems on '78 Mustang by

The problem I'm having is that I turn the key but the starter motor doesn't
seem to engage for very long (from the sound of it). I don't think it's a
battery problem as sometimes it's fine and other times it takes ages to get
started. When it's not working I'll turn the key and it will sound normal
(trying to start) for around...

Cracked engine backplate by
Les Rose
1098 Sprite engine backplate has a crack between two of the big openings
(for dynamo and crank). It's machined both sides, and 8 mm thick. Is it
weldable? They are unobtainable new as far as I know. Must be quite a few
2nd-hand ones out there if I could track one down. However it would be
better to salvage it if poss.

Historic Decals by
Mike
Hi All
I hope someone can help me, I have just aquired a D Type replica and Iam
looking to repaint it, and with that I hope to make it look more the part
with some suitable decals from the era, but I cant find anyone who can
supply such things as roundals, numbers, and general period decals. Does
anyone know of any companies who provide such things.
Many thanks

Postal Lottery: Turn $6 into $60,000 in 90 days, GUARANTEED
I found this in a news group and decided to try it. A little while
back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now and
came across a message just like this that said you could make
thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00!!!
So I thought yeah right, this must be a scam!!! But like most...

mgb gt tin worm by
Andrew Heggie
After 30+ years of abuse my wife's mgb gt has failed its test on rot
to the front footwell area and the jacking points. Now I know not to
try and cut out the sills and the rail that runs the length of the
floor (castle rail??) because the door way sags. I'm planning to
fabricate replacement sections for the front and treat the rotten bits
a layer at a time.
However having taken the wing off with...

FS: GT6 - two actually by
Simon
I have a MkII and a MkIII available.
Neither has an MOT but neither is a basket case either.
The MkII (1969) requires door skins (I have these and will throw them
in), some patching around the rear offside wheel arch inner, possibly
two front floor repair sections and some TLC. The trim is complete
but not fantastic. I have had the car for about 12 years and did the
majority of the body work...

Welding a cylinder block by
Les Rose
I need to modify my iron block by MIG welding a nut to the outside - so I
can screw something onto it. Am I likely to do any harm? I can't imagine
what could happen, but as I've had all he machining done at some expense I
thought I should just check first.

Fuel Injection for 4 cylinder Triumph Engines by

writes
I would say yes it can be done - single point injection - have seen it
on a mini. Can't remember which system that was used but it worked.
Why on earth would you want to use single point? It was always a
compromise solution, and with the Triumph engine having a proper
cylinder...
