Mazda RX-7 Turbo 2 Covertible by
Ian Baird
Hi
I have been a lurker in this group for a while. Now I need some help!
I'm looking to buy the car named above, whilst not technically a classic, I
think it will become a classic. Does anyone know these cars? What do I need
to look out for?
I know they have a rotary engine, which can be a pain in the a**e if
something goes wrong! But mechanics I'm fine with, it's where to check for

Jaguar MK II for sale by
Rob J
Hi,
My father in law is wanting to sell his MK II Jaguar and asked me to
try and sell it on the internet. Pictures of it can be found at
http://robemmajames.fotopic.net/
He will accept any reasonable offers (obviously you will need more
than the pictures to make an offer but hopefully they will let you
know if its worth pursuing).

Reversed Three Wheeler by

Excuse the intrusion and ignorance.
Friend came over today with the strangest car I've ever seen.
Three wheeler with the single wheel at the rear.
What's unusual about that? Most three wheelers have that configuration:

Scorpion, AF GP/Spider, Stimson...

Clutch despair by
loz
I have just over £1000 having my brakes and clutch sorted on My 1973
Triumph Stag at a Triumph specialist. It only went in for a service :(
The clutch had a new master and slave cylinder but it still has a
major problem which I would be most grateful if someone could help me
diagnose.
The problem only seems to manifest itself when the car is fully warmed
up, hence, I guess, why the garage...

Quick Classic for under a grand. by
Pete M
Ok, a month or so ago I asked what people would buy for £500ish...
I've been saving up, so now I should have about £900 and the Golf to play
with, this is what I want from a car...
Rear wheel drive (but a 4x4 Sierra V6 Estate would be damn tempting so 4x4
is acceptible)
Cheap insurance if possible (but it's highly unlikely)
25-30 mpg on a run, 17+ in town
Reasonable reliability (across Europe...

Smith's Instruments "Air" gauge by
-berg-
Hi ppl,
I recently picked up a box of old British car bits,
and in it are two gauges labelled "Air". One is a
Smith's, a dual gauge. The other is a generic thingie
that looks like a more modern Smith's.
The scales are dual units of Lb/cu in, and kPa. Both
have an air inlet (of course) and the guts connect
this to a spiral copper flat tube. In the Smith's

SORN - implications of not declaring by
Sean
I purchased a UK registered car some months ago but am not currently
living in the UK. I wasn't aware of the SORN until I got a 6 monthly
package of post from my UK address. I've been fined already for not
completing a SORN.
Are they serious? Can I just ignore it? It's hassle for me to write to
them, pay them (no funds in the UK, etc.) and explain the position. Any
info. appreciated.

FS: Imp by
pete
Would anyone like to buy my Imp - it's a '74 Imp super, less than
21,000 miles (believed genuine) very solid, looks original, some small
surface rust bubbles, but nothing to speak of , complete and everything
works - MOT until next May. Overheats a bit when pushed hard - should
be easy to sort out but I don't have time.
pics on www.eastfield.demon.co.uk/imp.htm
offers around £400 - it will...

Vintage Headlight Dipping by
Peter Adams
The headlights on my 1926 Rolls-Royce 20hp have single filament bulbs,
and the method of reducing the glare for oncoming drivers is by
operating a dashboard mounted switch that reduces the current and dims
the bulbs. I presume this is legal, because the car passes its MOT every
year.
In the course of tracing an intermittent fault, I found that the near-
side headlamp is still fitted with a...
