Spark Plugs by Jim Warren
I was about to change the plugs in my PI, believing that NGK BPR6ES was the correct plug, when I noticed that those in the engine already were NGK BP6EV. I have never seen this number before. Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) of this plug? And is there a good reason why the previous owner would have chosen them? I did fit my BPR6ES and changed the HT leads because the ones fitted...

SU fuel pump by Johannes
Hi The old fuel pump in my Morris 8 is playing up it only pumps fuel if I block up the drain hole. Does this mean that the rubber membrane is leaking? Or is there a other reason for this to happen.

1960 Jag Mk II 3.8 QUESTIONS...?????????????? by huffreport
Hi all, Quick question: I recently bought a 1960 Jag Mark II (3.8L).... I have been wanting one of these cars for a long while, and had always thought that if I bought one, I'd probably put a late model Chevrolet engine in it, however, the car I bought runs well... It has some problems, esp. overheating, and it's hard to start. But, the engine is good otherwise, and it has only 57K miles on...

LPG? by Si
Anyone converted their classic to use LPG (Gas). I have a 1966 Singer Gazelle and the engine is out having a rebuild, so, whilst the valves are being hardened to suit non leaded fuel, I've been told that my engine will run on gas. Anyone done this or got some advise? Regards Si

Good old GT6 - restore or scrap by Janet Collins
My dad bought a K reg GT6 back in the early 80s. It was very solid, no rust, never been welded. Interior was tatty, chrome a bit pitted, paint past its best. He intended to refurbish it but has layed in his lock up for nearly 20 years. My dads in his 70s now and he is never going to get around to it. He's asked me if I will "do something with it". The question is what. The body, chassis etc is...

K&Ns for SU HS4s by David Balfour
Hi everybody, I just bought some K&N Filters for my Triumph Spitfire 1500, fitted with the standard SU HS4's. I've never had any K&N's before, so this may sound like a dense question, but I can't seem to get the filters to go together. The element seems to be to big to fit between the chrome inner and outer pieces. I bought them from eBay, and they didn't come with any assembly institutions....

Spitfire 1500 Horn relay... by Jon Tilson
Its Mot time and the 78 1500 Spit has a u/s horn. I have volts at the swutch...volts at the horn even when earth disconnected, which disappear whn the earth is back on. I can short the horn to the battery and it works fine. Wiring diagram shows a horn relay so this must be the culprit. So the question is...where is it? The Haynes manual is predicatbly useless on this point. Jonners

Remote engine starter switch by mike roberts
I’ve just bought a Snap On MT 302A Remote Starter Switch so that I can start the car from the engine bay. (basically a heavy duty push switch with a lead & 2 crocodile clamps at the end). I thought it would be useful when doing a compression checks etc, and since it was cheap, at a car boot sale i thought it may come in useful sometime (if not I'll put it on eBay) There’s no instructions, so is...
