morris 1000 spares wanted south london. by JonSenker
I use two morris 1000's as my regular transport, a 1957 traveller and a 1970 saloon. Three or four times over thew past few years I have stocked up on parts for when they are needed to avoid having to shell out from shops to get something urgent. In theory when one does not work the other will but as you know they all talk together and co-ordinate strike action when sore about a lack of love and...

Rust converters by J
Was it here that I read about a cheap alternative to the Kurust type products that convert rust into stable black iron? Something about it being the same stuff as used by farmers to clean milking machines? Any ideas what it is called, I remember something like "Milk stone cleaner". Anyway, I;ve found a little gem of an agricultural merchants, cheap fastenings, good service, huge product range -...

Part Wanted by dixie
This is a long shot to the news group, maybe someone has a pair of the following gathering dust. I am wanting to source a pair of SAH (or similar) inlet manifolds and linkages for a Triumph TR4A. These are to mount twin Weber side draft carbs. The part number cast into each manifold is SAH ACC52. Both manifolds are the same. Good price paid.

Sliiding wheel cylinders by Willy Eckerslyke
Jon Tilson wrote: I have a Spit 15000 which is defying all attempts to get a MoT pass on the handbtrake. When I got it it was missing the sliding clips on the offside wheel cylinder and the pull off springs. Ive given it a new cable, clips, springs, new seals in the piston and its all adjusted up as per the book. Ive done loads of these over the years and never had such grief...

Spark Plugs by Jim Warren
I was about to change the plugs in my PI, believing that NGK BPR6ES was the correct plug, when I noticed that those in the engine already were NGK BP6EV. I have never seen this number before. Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) of this plug? And is there a good reason why the previous owner would have chosen them? I did fit my BPR6ES and changed the HT leads because the ones fitted...

SU fuel pump by Johannes
Hi The old fuel pump in my Morris 8 is playing up it only pumps fuel if I block up the drain hole. Does this mean that the rubber membrane is leaking? Or is there a other reason for this to happen.
