Mk2 Transit for spares by Graham
Would anyone be interested in a Mk2 Tansit? I'm thinking the engine in particular may be useful to someone?? 12 seat minibus 1986 (C reg) LWB, Semi hi top, twin wheel, 2.0L (pinto?) with 4 speed plus overdrive gbox. Generally good bodily except for a badly corroded floor under the front passenger seat which exits inside the wheel arch. Mechanically it's very good, the engine runs fine and it...

Replacing Morris 1000 chassis legs by Willy Eckerslyke
Intending to kickstart my Minor restoration again, I've just bought a pair of chassis legs and front cross-member which I intend to fit over the Christmas break. I'm not a beginner, but this job is one I've been dreading for a while, so any tips getting the correct alignment would be gratefully received. The car is currently one its side, so access is easy. I'm intending to start with the...

Digust at BBC Simply the Best by bonzo
Watching the BBC's "Simply the Best" sports personality of the year I was disgusted to see that the 65 winner of the "BBC Sports Personality" was among the the nomminess and not the 1965 runner up Jim Clark. Clark was a a sportsman par excellence a true gentle man , where as Simpson's performances were drug assisted, the same drugs that were to cause his death less than 2 years later.

Spitfire dashboard templates by -berg-
Does anyone know if there is a source for late-model Spitfire dashboard templates? My '79 Spit is currently in ice-cold storage, here in Canada, and though the obvious is to remove the dash and use it as a template, I'd rather find a source for an accurate template and save the frozen fingers. Thanks in advance, Mark

Any have a P6 they would like to swap for a 1959 Morris Oxford Farina by Peter Sheppard
Yes, I am serious. I have a 1959 Morris Oxford Series V Farina, MOT'd until March 2004, taxed until March 2004. Ltlle use over the last 12 months, new water pump and battery. Not concours but no serious rust and a very clean and tidy car. I am looking for a Rover P6 preferably a 3500 (I know, some hope!) but I'd settle for a 2200TC. I want to use it fairly quickly, so no basket cases, but I...

Triumph GT6 engine bodge by Janet Collins
I've started looking into the history of my (well dads) old GT6. I managed to track down the previous owner who sold it to my dad over 20 years ago. He told me a story about how he left it out one night without antifreeze and the block cracked. He ended up buying a new old stock block but was told it was for a 1971 car and the part number for that block was different to the late 72 car with the...

Santa is looking for something to buy me for Christmas and I fancy getting one of these, to keep the Old Landy running and my Bike starting on these cold mornings. Does anyone have any experience of these chargers that can be permanently connected to your battery like the Optimate 3 etc. Any comments appreciated -- Regards Brian

Extract from the Austin Counties Car Club magazine. Interest in Counties cars is certainly on the up and up. Hidden away in the results on an auction, held on September 13th by haulage contractor John Mould, to thin out his 300 plus collection of classics were details of his immaculate 1952 A70 Hereford pickup. This vehicle sold for A£9,450 plus buyers premium of 5% premium. This bringing...
