We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "bolaji
saying something like:

am interested in your 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V, 58k original miles
(Newport, Oregon USA).kindly let me know if it's still available.


And I'd like to pay by Western Union.

No, no, no.

He wants to pay by cheque, and it will be for an amount far more than the
cost of the car. When the cheque has "cleared" the *seller* will be
expected to send the excess by Western Union.

The best part about these scams is that the amount is always *far* more than
the car is worth. I got offered £3000 for an old Saab 900 a couple of weeks
ago that was up for £450.. !!
