The yearning for another bike has reared it's ugly head again, so it's time
to part with my Landcrab. So it's offered to you lot before it's punted elsewhe 1973 Austin 1800 MK3 Polar White with red vinyl interior. Tax (not tax exempt) until about March (I think!) & MOT until about July. Kenwood RDS radio/cassette and ProPlus 6x9 shelf speakers recently fitted. Brand new Mountney 10" 3 (polished) spoke steering wheel and 1800-specific (not Mini) boss kit - original 16.5" steering wheel available. Good tyres. Heated rear window. Drives really well and pretty economical (there's one of those lead pellet thingies in the tank so it runs unleaded with no problems). Rebuilt power steering pump, recent steering rack and driveshaft doughnuts (sorry, haven't got the receipts to prove these). Very presentable car, but it will need a small amount of welding for the next MOT - rear bumper mounts need tidying and it'll need a plate on the rear inner edge of the sill on each side. None of this welding will interfere with the paintwork as it's all underneath, so it'll just need a little underseal afterwards. Front overriders missing, but the rest is all there and pretty tidy. It also comes with a useful spare - a NOS Autodrive 3-piece clutch kit. Viewing no problem. Make me a sensible offer on £650, or if you've got a bike you want to trade, then try me. This reminds me: I have what I believe is a Landcrab radiator, free to collector. (From E. Cornwall) There's a chap in my village (on Anglesey) selling a reasonable Wolseley Landcrab. The 1800 one, can't remember the designation - 18/80 perhaps? It'll be cheap because it needs a clutch and possible a rear oil seal. Unlike the starter of this thread, it is tax exempt and not suffering the indignity of silly bits of tin in the petrol tank. If anyone's interested I'll put them in touch, but not until next week as I'm going away for a few days. |
