running on vegetable oil? by
john doe
is there anyone on here who has any experience of running a diesel engine on
this, not 100%, but 1/3 or 2/3?.
i'm thinking of getting an older 4x4, probably a trooper or patrol and
wondered if anyone had any experience, i read a post on this group earlier
in the year by a guy who was running a pajero on 1/3 veg oil and 2/3 diesel.
any thoughts (and i will be doing it legally)
TIA

Jeep Cherokee - Common Faults? Comments Please by
Jim
Hi I am considering buying a Jeep Cherokee 2.5 Diesel, probably
somewhere in the range of 1993 to 2000.
Are there any common failings of this model I should be aware of before
parting with my money? The vehicle would be used for getting me too and
from work, a 15 minute sprint down the motorway, and for towing a
trailer or caravan.
TIA

Frontera 2.8 TD Isuzu engine. by
angeliquehunt@msn.com
I am having problems starting from cold, engine turns over fine when
warm. Seem to get a small cloud of smoke from rear of engine when
struggling to start.
I have had this problem for the last 3 winters and nobody can seem to
rectify. I have had this into several garages and they cannot find a
fault. Even on the diagnostic machine.
They have replaced my glow plugs, leads and fuel filters etc...

4*4 spotted off road by
lurkio
Its really annoying - the only time I see them "off road" is when the
"birds" park them on the pavement - Is it because its safer for the "kids"
there?

when to use 4h? by
Jonathan
Hi,
I have a 2006 Isuzu Rodeo (Dmax) 3litre jeep.
I find when I use 4H for slippery Icy conditions, my car slows down to a
halt while turning corners, and then it doesn't move unless I really
accelerate and push it to go!
Why is this? I read in the manual, that you use 4H for slippery road
conditions, but only 4L when your really stuck..

I am thinking of buying a larger caravan which will necessitate a
larger car and I have been thinking of the new versions of the L200 or
Nissan Navara.
Can anyone tell me what the real world fuel consumption of these
vehicles is like ? Any other info on running costs greatly appreciated

Astonishing Secrets Of The Biodiesel Maker In The World by
yvette hannah
Oil companies are pulling in record profits and the government says
they can't do anything about it.
Hurricanes have knocked the oil refineries down and you can feel it at
the pump.
And now you are stuck paying outrageous prices at the pump.
This reason is simple... It's what we all learned in Economics 101:
SUPPLY and DEMAND
The demand for oil is at an all time high. The United States,...

Fitting a Cobra A Bar to a Jeep Cherokee by
Sean Rima
A friend of mine handed me his fitted Cobra A Bar from his Cherokee but
there appears to be something missing from the bottom. The bolts have a
small threaded bar but for the life of me I cannot see where they fit.
We have the same model and I am wondering if there is a bar that comes
with it that he has left on his Cherokee. He seems to think I have
everything

VW Taro (Toyota Hilux Clone) Spotlight Wiring and trouble with Dim-Dip by
mike whiskey
Hopefully someone here can help me out of an embarrassing problem. I
agreed to wire up some spotlights on my brothers VW Taro. Plan was
for them to be linked to main beam, in that they would be on with main
beam, but otherwise off.
I have wired several sets of lights like this other cars, and had no
problems. I thought I was fine this time too, as everything seemed to
work as expected. ...

Is this normal.
Diesels do that, at night with a car following you, you'll probably
think a fog has descended! It really shows up under...

I have a Land Rover County 110 1986 which suffered a fire in 2004 when
