Steering Box for LHD Land Rover Discovery series 1 by
Helder Lemos
Need to find a Steering Box for LHD Land Rover Discovery Series 1, from
some salvage company or someone who breaks them up for parts in the UK.
I actually only require the core inside, that is the two main moving
parts - one is rod-like and the other a thread. But I figure that buying
the whole part may be cheaper.
Any suggestions or contacts in the UK would be welcome.
Also; should I buy...

Range Rover 2 door got to go, sadly by
R Strong
I am seldom sentimental about vehicles, but have had a lot of fun with
this one, but it's a luxury and my new (L reg) transit is a necessity
and has to be paid for!
1973, odometer shows 60K ish, possibly correct. Generally very good
order, but if you're interested, you will want to know more... Located
Monmouthshire. Cheap.
I'm also disposing of the Morris 1000 and Volvo 740 in the same cause.

Shogun Suspension by
Charles
I have a Shogun 3.0 24v LWB N reg (Brit version.)
Nearside rear shock leaking and MOT is due.
Have rang Mitsubishi and find that they will cost me £169 per shock plus
VAT. They also want £199 plus VAT to fit a pair.
I aint skint yet but £600 for two rear shocks aint looking my idea of good
value.
Has anyone fitted standard shocks in place of the electronic adjustable
ones.

FS: Who knows their Landy bits? by
T i m
Hi,
A mate is clearing out some of his stuff and has a rear diff (refurb)
and two half shafts (new) from a Land Rover going spare?
One half shaft (long) would join onto the wheel end with some coarsish
splines and a nut, the other (short) uses finer splines and a circlip?
The diff has 47 teeth on the crownwheel and 10 on the pinion.

Looking for a place to Ride your ATV? by
ATV Rider
Nowhere to ride your ATV? I'm looking at building a large track on 200 acres of
land. Would you pay for the convenience of having a place to ride that's legal?
Send me your thoughts.

Vehicle Reliability by

age of 4.8 years and have a average millage of 49,702 miles.
Top of the table was Mazda with an average repair bill of £275 and a 16%
failure rate.

Cobra fitted on Shogun followed by confusion... by
Lee J. Moore
Ho hum, just had a Cobra immobiliser/alarm fitted on my Shogun and
unfortunately, the installer is a friend, did the job as a foreigner, and
has gone on holiday today meaning I can't ask him questions for a week now
that I'm (doh) confused.
Has anybody else got one of these? According to the keyfob it's model 7777.
What I've been told is:
1) When I leave the vehicle, I press the large button...
