wobbly 110 by Nullified
110 CSW 200Tdi with later Landy 5-spoke alloys shod with BFG Mud Terrains. Used everyday but only short trips, main job is Sunday greenlaning or pay'n'play quarry days. Doesn't 'wander' or tramline, but does feel a little wobbly at dual carraigeway speeds and can pitch and roll a bit on roundabouts. So, is polybushing the answer to this? Is PaddockSpares kit (http://tinyurl.com/3doy38) a...

Shogun electric window stopped working by lovezoo
I've got a 1996 Shogun V6 SWB and the passenger side electric window has suddenly stopped working from both the driver's side and passengers side switch. Driver's side window is fine - does anybody know if there is a fuse or relay somewhere for this window before I start taking it all apart? Thanks Tony

Tyre Wear by Dgethin
Is it usual to get only 18,000 miles of the front tyres, I have a Grand Vitara 2.0TD 3 door, year 2005. I thought with a larger diameter tyre they would not wear out so quick. I remember when I had a mini which had small dia tyres they soon wore out. What do you all think

Gas Guzzlers by Dgethin
I have heard they are going to double the road tax in the budget for our 4 x 4's. I have a Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 TD, and I do 38 mpg. I don't think that is much gas guzzling What do you all think

Tosspot Brown by David Harvey
road tax up to £300, rising to £400 next year. Like the previous poster I have a 2.0 TD suzuki grand vitara, I get nearly 40mpg and I do very few miles per year (approx 4000) However a car is essential, we are 130 miles from the nearest city, 90 miles from the nearest railway and decent hospital. Our roads are pot-holes and narrow/twisty. I now view it as a rural tax..surely that is illegal...

4*4s costing more to insure by Tommy
A shake-up in how vehicles are categorised for insurance purposes could well mean that 4x4 drivers will pay more for their insurance. For the first time, the Association of British Insurers (ABI) is taking into account how much a car weighs to determine its insurance group. It's not environmental reasons that are driving the changes, though - instead, insurers reckon the heaviest models are the...

Lake district National Park Authority petition by NikTheGeek
Not petitions created by me, but I've signed them because of the LDNPA's mismanagement of the Windermere 10mph speed limit and their restrictions on 4x4's. There are 2. The first is to make the LDNPA accountable and directly elected. The second is more dedicated to the Windermere speed limit: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/theldnpa/ http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Windermere10mph/ Nik

Double-cab pickup that's fairly economic? by Ian Rawlings
Wotcher all. I currently have an old Defender and a 1997 Audi A4, neither get used much so I was hoping to be able to combine the two of them into one double-cab pickup type vehicle that has fairly decent miles per gallon. All it needs is to have decent MPG, ideally over 40 in diesel, automatic, be fairly comfortable and look reasonably smart as I'd be going to client sites in it (I'm a computer...
