What are peoples views on Diesel Suzuki Grand Vitara 5 door? by Neil
Hi all, I am in the market for a 4x4 and was looking at the Suzuki Grand Vitara 5 door diesel. Has anyone got any views on this vehicle? It will be used for taking a family of 5 camping as well as general use. I appreciate that the boot space isn't brilliant but I intend to use a trailer for when we go camping. Many thanks for any advice, ideas, comments etc etc etc. Cheers

Cruise control on Shogun... (thick question!) by Lee J. Moore
How does this work exactly? I've got a 'Cruise Control' button to the right of the steering wheel and a lever next to the windscreen wiper lever, labelled thusly: Cancel (Pull back) Accel (Push up) Coast (Push down) Presumably, pressing the Cruise Control button activates the features attributed to this lever? ...

SJ413 Transplants by J T Pearson Outdoor Training
Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative motor for the old SJ? I'm looking for something that wouldn't require too many modifications but provide similar performance to the old 1300 lump. We have lots of old jap hatchbacks over here in NZ but not many donor SJs. Alternatively, how big a job would it be to fit new rings & valve guides? The old girl has 300,000km on the clock and dumped...

Another Suzuki question by J T Pearson Outdoor Training
With a high mileage engine, what's the chance that an SJ has worn the bore and not just the rings? Would I get away with a clean-up and new rings? -- Jane Pearson & Bill Wheeler J T Pearson Outdoor Training 12 Mountfort Street Outram New Zealand Tel. 643 486 1363

Pajero Heater by Reid
You could try checking that your thermostat is working.........if its stuck in the open position then its not allowing the water from the engine to heat up properly because its allowing the water to flow to the radiator and heater straight away before reaching the required temperature. Also the controll unit powers up and the fan comes on and you can feel air blowing out of the vents but you...

Pajero Heater by Leigh Hunt
I have a 1991 Pajero on which the heater has stopped working. I didn't need it through the summer (used just air conditioning which is still fine), and now its colder I find the heater is not doing anything. The thermostat would seem to be OK as the temperature guage is where it should be and the matrix does not have an air lock. Have also checked visible fuses behind the dahsboard. Any...

Nissan X-Trail anyone? by PoP
Have been looking around for my next new vehicle, and from the 4x4's available the Nissan X-Trail seems to have some very positive reviews all round. Anyone got one that they'd like to share information on? I appreciate this isn't a "real" 4x4, but with a new model coming out it looks pretty healthy from everything I have read on the Internet, and I'm not planning on scaling mountains...

Frontera Problem by Pw
Good Morning all I have recently had an oil leak checked out on my Frontera DTi 2.2. Which turned out to be coming from the "Intercooler Hose for the turbo" (forgive my lack of tech knowledge), the garage cleaned it all out and said it shouldn't be a problem as they have seen it plenty of times before. However more recently (past two weeks) whenever I accelerate over 2500 rpm the engine...
