spam new laws please by wayne
Sorry not quite a 4x4 question, but am I the only one who has seen there spam emails increase by at least three times in the last three months, I used to get 20 a day now its more like 80, I use a mail washer but it is not time we had better laws or forced our ISP to be more vigilant, BT must be making a fortune on people wasting time downloading this crap. regards wayne

Do I fit them to the front or rear axle or both axles??? Has anyone any experience of good quality snow chains?? Any help would be gratefully received. -- Regards, Andy W...

Extra lights by Eddie
I've just taken possession of a Vitara which has been fitted with a nudge bar, with some extra lights of some sort fitted to the nudge bar. For some reason, I'm under the impression that to pass an MOT, any extra (forward-facing) lights fitted to a vehicle must be operable, and must only be operable when high-beam is selected - is that correct? If it is, then I'm not sure that the MOT it...

Air compressor by PJO
I want to install a small air tank on (under) my Jeep G/Cherokee. In an ideal world I would be able to power the compressor from the engine but accept it'll have to be electric. It's only for occasional use when camping - airbeds etc. but also useful for pumping up tyres etc. Any one got any ideas what I can use?

Nissan Terrano by klyne
I notice in a search of the internet that there were some good prices to be had on new Nissan Terrano 5 door 2.7 diesels, I don't think my budget would run to the new 3.0 lt engine. I tow a caravan with an all in weight of 1325kgs. Any views of longevity, reliability, will it do its job, economy and any other information would be useful. Shogun '94 dodgy front wheel sensors? by Lee J. Moore
A couple of weeks ago, when switching the transfer lever to /any/ 4 wheel mode, the front wheel lights on the console stopped lighting up. It appeared (from the console) that I was still in 2 wheel mode. The differential lights would light up (when in the correct position for them), just not the front wheels. Later, I figured that this problem seems to disappear if I've been driving for 30...

Have a 92 vitara 1.6 petrol and astonshingly the bodywork is good but the engine is almost gone. I would like to fit a tdi engine to this. I believe that vitara's used the Peugeot diesel engine, was this a TDi or a turbo diesel? Anybody done this conversion, or have ant tips on how difficult it would be. I think I would probably be able to get a Peugeot engine from a scrapyard for not too...

Freelander starting problem. by Steve
Hi group. I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I have a 1.8 Freelander. I knew there would be a few woes when I bought it, but on the whole it has been a good vehicle. Recently though, when I turn the ignition key, nothing happened. The dashboard lights came on, but that was it. This kept happening for a few days. After a couple of attempts, the thing would start just fine.
