Terrano or Maverick? by
Tim
I have been looking to buy my first 4x4 (second hand) and had settled on the
Nissan Terrano.
Whilst looking around for a reasonable SWB I have come across a lot more
Mavericks, especially petrol versions (everybody wants diesel). As the price
of the equivalent maverick seems to be cheaper. I was wondering the
following, and would appreciate advice from anyone owning a Maverick

Discovery wheels wanted .. by
Paul - xxx
Hi, this has also been posted to alt.fan.landrover ..
Has anyone got a set of standard sized Discovery ('97 300 Tdi 3 door) wheels
and tyres for sale cheaply, preferably free ?
Prefer road legal, barely legal would do, as I want to build a rolling
chassis up, that occasionally needs to trundle down a road or two, but I
don't have any spare wheels available and can't afford new ones or a...

Tyres for Freelander by
PoP
I need to put some new tyres on my Freelander, I'm looking for
recommendations on make/type.
Model XeDi, 16in. Currently fitted with Goodyears. These don't seem to
last very long (about 15,000 miles).
I don't do offroading so the preference is for tyres which deal with
regular road work.
Also, any recommendations for sourcing tyres assuming I can get these

I know that the rav4 is not a real 4x4, but we all got to start somewhere, right? by
LovingPerson
disclaimer: I know that the rav4 is not a real 4x4. I have very
little knowledge of 4x4's. This is why I came here. I would like to
find some patient person who will be kind enough to not flame, but
dispense out some basic knowledge
Dear all:
My buddy just bought a Rav4. I helped him pick it out. Since I
am currently unemployed, I have a lot of time and scanned through many
ads and...

London parking?? by
John Miller
Hi all
We are visiting London tomorrow (Monday), and as I don't fancy paying £20 to
park in the centre, plus the dreaded congestion charge, I think I will park
out of town and get the tube.
We shall be coming from the west (M40 - Western Ave) and I reckon Ealing
Broadway or Common would be good for us to get to and get the tube.
What's the chances of finding some street parking around the...

Isuzu Trooper conversion to LPG by
Peter
I'm considering converting Trooper 98 (3.5L V6 petrol engine) to run on
liquified propane gas (natural gas or whatever it's called). Any
feedback/experience on this - good or bad? I reckon it should pay for itself
in a year at most.
TIA,
Peter

Vauxhall Brava 4*4 Prob by
Glynn Parry
Hi,
I have just been for a drive in a mates ex AA Vauxhall Brava 4*4, and have
noticed a problem. When 4wd is engaged, the rear wheels seem to drag,
almost as if the front wheels are pulling the vehicle faster than the rear
ones. The vehicle is fitted with free wheeling hubs to the front wheels,
but there is no switches in the cab to activate them(if that is how u do
it!) Any ideas as to what...
